3rd Gen Capturing Moltres ....

    Im finding it really hard to capture moltres on leaf green!

    no matter how many ultra balls i use he just jumps right out!

    as far as i know im doing everything right, hes low on health, paralysed/asleep.

    i don't want to even think about using my master ball so,

    any ideas?

    i had the same problem and it came to me... moltres is the worst of the three birds, and yet, it took only one ultra ball for the other two. screw it, let the thing burn XD

    Wow, are you serious? Moltres was pretty easy. I caught it on the first try. Zapdos was easiest though. Now ARTICUNO on LG was super-super-hard! I do have to give my Lv 30 Politoed its props though. That hypnosis worked wonders, and I retried countless times 'till I caught it.

    My help: Paralyze, Freeze, or Poison (not recommended for this strategy, they could die) Moltres and make sure it's confused as well. Confusion is an unofficial second status problem that I realized comes in handy. If it happens to still be alive, or even if it is close to dying, let it Endure before beating it up. Then go wild trying to catch it!

    Next time, please use the Simple Questions thread for question like this.

    As you might know, legendary Pokémon have a very low capture rate.
    So you have to keep throwing some balls at them and hope for luck.
    Also try decreasing their stats if you can't lower their HP any more.
