"Carrying On!" Episode Discussion

Hold on...I have...memories of this episode! Hrmrmm...it's so hard to rememeber, the last time I saw this was about 5/6 years ago. I can picture them going into the post office, looking at the Pidgey...fillerness...mmm can't remember much. But 1 second of it is in my memories, that counts, right? Well, I *can* remember that some people have said they hated this episode.

Pretty much. I didn't mind it, as I liked whenever the series addresses old contentions, like the carrier pigeon. It had an interesting cuteness, and my favorite Jessie quote (if I'm recalling it right):

"I already had my good idea for the day!"

Plus, "Who's that Pokemon" featured Mewtwo, and the fact it was created by Team Rocket (in the anime, of course). Awesome.
 
Personally I liked this filler. It was nice and it was a bit of a history lesson too. I know so many people hate this one, but i dont get why. I nice to have a calm episode once in while to counteract the action. This one is drilled in to my memory. Lol, Team Rocket became a cloud in this EP.
 
Was this that episode in mid-Johto, where the pidgey mailman used Pidgey to deliver messages? Like around the Whirl Cup, Jasmine, and Chuck?

Yes, it was.

I think the fandom didn't quite get this one, because we're all young whippersnappers, used to constant gratification, by emailing or phoning ahead. It was a different time back then, so this episode tried to capture that. Did it fully work? No, but I'm grateful for the allusion, as we've come a long way since carrier pigeons (I believe they're extinct).
 
This is ranked as Lugia's Wost Episode Ever list. It was just boring. I look back and stay stunned as to why I stayed with Pokémon after this.

I didn't XD Well, not long after. It must've been one of the last episodes I saw until Master Quest, watched a few of the Whirl Islands fillers then comepletly gave up for about 3/4 years. Even then, I didn't start watching weekly until Battle Frontier (I had no idea which was supposed to be the latest series XD) Actually, it's complete coincidence I ever got back in. If it wasn't for Smoshes Pokemon Theme singing, I would never have thought of searching for episodes. If it wasn't for YouTube, I wouldn't be here o.O
