If there is enough interest, I will put up a map. Currently, I am caught up with… ah… my studies.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present to you...
Ceris: The Lost Isle!
*applause*
Plot~!
When the island of Ceris was formed under the orders of the divine angel Teos through a well-placed underwater volcanic eruption, it was in-between the worlds; a solitary island soon separated by lord Teos from the rest of creation. And so it survived, as the humans gradually evolved out of the stone age, the middle ages, the Renaissance… the Industrial evolution. In a way, it could be compared to Atlantis, with all its beautiful marble architecture and its advanced technology, powered with the mysterious essence named Ether and magic, which is derived from Ether.
Ceris is home to many races, fleeing to escape the evolutionary pull and primal instincts of the first humans. The humans, much more intelligent than their modern counterparts, are one race. The Forgotten, austere, slightly arrogant humanoids with light, metallic hair and glowing eyes are another. The Moon Elves, come out of the forests of Europe and North America, have also survived on Ceris, along with their brethren, the Fire Elves (or, as they call themselves, Sindgrenn – singular Sindgre) from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The Marked, a variant species of humans marked with runes on their body, are from South America. And the Faeries permeate the land with invisible forms, healing and tending to the nature on Ceris. Most Cerians say thanks when they hunt to their lord angel, Teos, because the cycle of life is to be respected. Some are simply vegetarians to avoid eating animals altogether.
But during the 20th century, the binds of the angel Teos began to fade. Slowly but surely, the ties connecting Ceris to space and time began to break. And the restlessness of the Cerians is proof enough that their beloved island was fading away into oblivion. It was obviously time to follow the instructions in the prophecy. So, it came as no surprise when the mage-king, Silancus Aoristus, finally decided to post a royal decree to call for the most skilled warriors, mages, and healers together into a tournament in a bid to gather together a party to save Ceris.
Your Role~!
You will be one of the finalists of the tournament, and recruited by King Silancus. You will be on a quest to save the land of Ceris from certain destruction. The land of Ceris is like the medieval times, except with a higher level of technology and magic. Also, during the last century, there has been much conflict and chaos; so, if you're a short-lived race like a human, keep that in mind when you write history.
Reference for Average Lifespan:
Elves (both types) – 800 years
Humans – 60 years
The Forgotten – 450 years
The Marked – 100 years
Faeries – forever, and this is why you are not allowed to be one.
Possible Archetypes~!
Keep in mind that most of the human population of Ceris do NOT know any magic, being farmers, skilled workers, and other such necessities of society, and half of the Moon Elves (specializing in fencing and archery, as well as foraging) only know a few blessings, and the rest usually choose to pursue the life of a healer. The Fire Elves have an affinity to fire naturally and are warriors, but don't do much else when it comes to magic. The Forgotten are the best candidates for intelligent scholars, and Faeries are mostly meek healers. Psionics are allowed, but no- and I repeat- NO mind control. Telepathy is not an option- only the divine angels have access to that. Some psychoportation is allowed. Creation of ectoplasmic objects and constructs (e. g. servants) are acceptable.
So, after you've read that!
Healing is usually done by mixing up some herbs and poultices and tending to the wounded, as normal. There is the choice of healing with mental power, but that will drain your own energy the same amount as the person who was originally wounded lost, so herbs and poultices are the preferred method.
Types of Magic:
Types of Psionics: (Yes, I know it's a D&D rip-off, but they did it best)

Plot~!
A silvery moon, a scorching sun
Together they bless, apart they condemn
Eight warriors shall rise up from the land
A ninth shall join them, granted from the heavens
They shall wander the land in search of the source of destruction
And everlasting glory shall be to the ones that vanquish the prince of chaos and death
