So, you beat all the Gym Leaders.

    You beat the Elite Four.

You beat the Champion, and are now the new Pokemon League Champion.

So how come no one in the games seem to care or take notice?

I wish the games would put more emphasis on you as the Champion. You probably did work hard to get there, spending countless hours training (minus the cheaters out there). Instead you just defeat the Champion, the previous Champion takes back his/her post, and everyone mysteriously forgets about your victory haha.

I'm not saying that every person you meet in the game from then on has to be like, "ZOMG I know you, you're the Pokemon League Champion!!!!" but it would be cool to see something about your accomplishment on the TV's or from random NPC's or something.

Personally, I think it would be cool if as Champion, every once in a while you'd receive a request for a battle from an NPC who just so happened to challenge the Elite 4. If you lose, you need to defeat the Elite 4 and Champion again. Although, I'm sure you would be trying pretty hard not to lose, seeing as you're the CHAMPION.

Anyone else have an opinion on this matter?

Interesting idea, and something I see a lot in console RPGs like TESIV.
I think it would be possible to do something like that though, as I am good with scripting programs.
    Good idea, fellow Brock Obama.

An idea I actually like. I think that would be pretty spiffy, but what means do you have of knowing you get challenged? I guess it depends on the game. RSE, for example, you have the PokeNav and someone could call and ask you to meet them at the Pokemon League. Games like DPPt, though, I don't know how you would get informed. Maybe Cynthia or someone could be in the next Pokemon Center you walk into and tell you. Just a thought.

Anyway, I really like that idea.

Edit; I've found a drawback, though. A lot of people use the E4 to get experience for their Pokemon, so if you were already the Champion, what's the point of challenging your E4 colleagues? That's probably why it hasn't already happened.
