Nevermind. Just came to the conclusion that Emerald sprites are 16x32 rather than 32x32. I can still mimic them to the best of my ability with a sprite editor.
Also, the trainer sprites when you enter the battle. DS games have them in 80x80 while the GBA uses 64x64, so I'm sure those need to be scaled down. Is there a resource for this on the forum or is it simple enough to do without damaging the image quality?
