i want my metagross to have the characteristic likes to thrash about
but it always has often dozes off
it has 31 hp ivs, 31 atk ivs, and 31 speed ivs, i know it takes the one with the most.. but why isnt it taking atk??
also my ninjask has the same 31 ivs as metagross
and its often dozes off to!!
how do i fix it by like breeding and stuff

I presume it works downwards; in that HP is always at the top. So if You have more than one 31 IV, the highest in the list will be the characteristic. The only way you could fix this is by trying to get 30 HP EVs.

my friend is here with me
and he uses pokesav to make legit looking pokemon
he wants to know how to change the characteristics with pokesav

I think it's determined randomly. My x/31/x/31/x/31 Infernape is 'Alert to sounds'.

Also, you can't change Characteristics in Pokesav. And if you could, that Pokemon would be hacked.

But yeah, aircon's right. If you use the pokesav you've just hacked your poke and made it illegal. I've only seen a brief demo of pokesav but i recall seeing a box allowing you to change the charactoristic on a completely new hacked poke, there might be a similar box for editing current pokes if such a thing exists.

I don't know why you'd care what it says. XD

I heard there's some IV's that are dominant over others, e.g. HP < atk. (that's probably not true, just an example.)

That might be it, or it's just random.
