Charmander not charizard??

Ok im pretty sure this has been answered but i cannot seem to find it anywhere, anyways in the episode "It's Mr. Mime Time" ash summons his charizard against team rockets tank (as usual it dosent listen bla bla) but in the next episode following that one "Holiday Hi-Jynx" ash summons charmander?! so the question i have is what in the world happened to charizard because theres no way a season 2 show could have happened before the episode before charmander evolves into charmeleon which is in season 1.

Ah nvm i found out the reason there not season 2 they are holiday specials for season 1

Yeah, blame the Porygon incident for both TV-Tokyo and 4Kids' funky airings of those episodes.
