Charmander - The Stray Pokémon

[I Laugh at your Misfortune!]

This episode feels weird to me. I don't know what it is. I think it's something to do with the timing - although you'd think of the Team Rocket attack as being kinda stuck on the end, it's about half the episode. Not necessarily a bad thing, though. No matter how often I hear that stupid motto, I still love it.

Anyway, the actual episode wasn't bad. A bit more serious than the last few, perhaps, but that's more of an observation than a criticism. I didn't really find myself chuckling at anything this time, though, and I laugh if someone says "poo" and I'm not expecting it. So yeah, it could've been a bit funnier. Anyway, here's my ELOT:

Spoiler:

- This song never gets old...

- Lost...again? It's already a tired plot device DX

- Charmander's kinda chubby. Cute, though.

- And of course, in a world where everyone is American, the one bad guy is English.

- And with a REALLY bad accent

- Nut him Brock, nut him!

- IT'LL DIE! Well, they weren't too worried about skirting around the issue, back in the day.

- "Joyful". Just typical.

- Spearows are *******s.

- Y'know, Brock seems to care for Charmander a lot more than Ash. So why doesn't he get it? D:

- Seriously, that would make sense. Then give Squirtle to Misty and they get one each.

- Yeah, no-one would notice that giant robot there

- Anti-Pikachu Rubber Balloon Bazooka.

- This has strange shades of The Prisoner

- I swear Damien says "I came back for Charmader"

- What is this crap? Brock did WAY more than Ash for that Charmander.

Next time: Here comes the Squirtle Squad!

I used to love this episode, but I've always felt that it went FAST. Should've split it into two parts.
