Chatter Issues

I am having issues getting Chatter to record my voice. When my Charap uses it, there is no sound played back. I know the Mic on my DS Lite works because I have used it to remove traps while underground, but I cannot get it to record my voice. Am I missing something or is it a glitch?

Are you speaking loud enough? Speaking louder might help. =D

I am up close to the Mic and shouting :( Still nothing... if it helps I say "Pretty Bird"

Hmmm... The mic is probably worn out, except it can still take stuff like blowing. I really don't know what might be the problem. How long have you had the DS?

I got it the summer of 2007, so it isnt that old... and hasnt had too much wear in tear since I only own Pokemon and Final Fantasy
