Claiming threads?

I was editing my profile/ details and whatnot when I came across a few tabs saying "this is where you put your paring (FERRISWHEELSHIPPING * 3*) that you claimed in the -insert thread here-"
What are these claiming threads about and where could I find them? :3
I'm new so, I'm still figuring things out. ^_^;;

This was asked here the other day, essentially the same question. Simplely put a Claim there is where people make a series of claims basically as a proclamation that the pokemon, celeb, etc is theirs and is there favorite.
