Sometimes when I click on the "Show Content" button, nothing happens and I don't get to see the content, how come?

This is a recent error that happens on certain browers.

If memory serves, they're trying to figure it out but aren't quite sure how to fix it yet.

Ok, thanks Drew, I'm using Google Chrome as my browser so it hasn't been working, I just tried it on Mozilla Firefox and it works fine.

Chrome and Safari are the most popular browsers with problems, and other WebKit-based browsers will have the same problem. Switching to another browser - e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera - seems to be the only long-term solution.

I've got the same problem. Here's the thread I started about it:

I've come up with a temporary work-around, though. Click the "quote" button on the page you want to read. If all that's inside the spoiler that you want to see is text, you can just scroll down and read it. But if there are images or a video or lots of font/size/color tags that make it hard to read, you can do this:
    - delete the {quote} tag (you don't even have to delete the {/quote} tag, because deleting the first one will make the second one invalid)
    - delete all the {spoiler} tags (and like the quote tag, you don't need to delete the {/spoiler} tags either)
    - And then click on "preview post."
And you can see the whole post as if the spoilers were opened. It's long and inconvenient, but it's better than not being able to read it at all.

Deleting the spoiler tag, obviously, stops it from being a spoiler. But if you don't delete the quote tags as well before clicking "preview post," PC will say "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 25 characters." Instead of typing random stuff just to get the preview post to work, it's easier to delete the quote tag.

Just be careful not to push "submit reply." And, unfortunately, if the spoiler you're trying to open already is inside another quote, when you click on the "quote" button that entire quote (including the spoiler inside it) will be deleted, instead of letting you do a quote-inside-a-quote. But if that happens, 95% of the time you can just scroll up to the original post that was quoted and follow the procedure from there.

If that didn't make any sense, let me know and I'll explain it with screenshots or something. :P

IE doesn't always work, actually. I tested it once. D:

xD; Thats what I thought, too..

This isn't just a PC error, it's all vBulletin forums in general, from what I've seen.. so maybe there should be a warning thread, or some type of notification about it placed somewhere on here? Just to let users know.. Unless it is something that Steve can fix. o-o

In relation to this thread slightly, how do you do the Show content/Hide content BBcode.
This is a really noobish question, i know but please. If you can help me out, Please do.

I haven't experienced it yet on IE, but I have come across those who have. The options of the problems could either be your broswer such as Google Chrome, or vBulletin Forums. If one of the Admins can fix it them I'm sure they will let you know, but as of now you might want to use your FireFox Browser so you'll get to see what's in the "Show Content" areas.

EDIT: iPochama to do the "Spoiler" bars as I believe they are called you can either do the advance option when posting replies and use the tiny blue bar with abc or you can simply type in this code [*spoiler] [/spoiler] (without the asterisk star of course)
