Wassup im Master Krillin and its been a while but im back on PC with an interesting question. How do you think the 5th gen will change competitive play the 4th gen brought us Physical and Special attacks and Heart Gold Soul Silver brought expanded move pools. So far the 5th brings pokes with different Abilities via the Dream World. What pokemon would you like to see get a 5th gen make over or what pokes need to be scaled back a bit post your opinion. Heres mine.

Medicham: Medicham is a beast but gen 4 crippled one of my favorite pokes now it takes a lot of skill to use it successfully. one move could bring it back and that's Mach Punch a priority STAB physical move like mach punch a force to be recon with.

Blazken: Was a pretty good pokemon back in Gen 3 (Still is in my book) then came along Infernape and took over maybe gen 5 could give Blazken the Dream World treatment and get a new ability.

which poke do you think should get a 5th gen push

I'm really hoping they do SOMETHING about Stealth Rock. Now, I love this move, but it's really ridiculous how many Pokemon can learn it. Imagine if the number of Pokemon that learn Stealth Rock was the same as the number of Pokemon that learn Spikes and/or Toxic Spikes. A disaster, right? And Stealth Rock takes only ONE turn to set up! It's idiotic, I tell you.

Anyways, I'm hoping Cloyster will improve more this gen; he really needs a reliable physical water move (doesn't learn Aqua Jet nor Waterfall; Dive sucks). It's great that he's got Skill Link + Rock Blast and all that, but given his typing and awful HP/S-Defense, I really would like to see him improve more. Cloyster is my favourite Ice Pokemon and my team can't do without him. <3

Well actually Medicham can turn slaking into a Level 5 Rape Machine Uber Destruction Monkey in double battles :)

Defensive pokemon could use a bit of a boost. Gen IV was heavy on offense, adding a special attack choice item, Life Orb, Choice Scarf for faster attackers...defensive walls kinda got shafted on items.

Also, generally pokemon with dual rock weakness (Fire/Flying, Bug/Flying, Ice/Flying) got shafted with stealth rock and how prominent it is in terms of how many things can learn it. For example, Bellyzard, already a high-risk high-reward strategy, can often not be pulled off since Charizard looses 50% on a switch in with Stealth Rock in play. For a one turn set up, I think Stealth Rock is a bit too overpowered. Could use with a little nerfing, or at least provide a hold item that can weaken its effect (and again, this change can help defensive pokemon, often adding one more hit a pokemon can take).

I hope it either it goes exclusive to rock types or there is a new ability/move that gets rid of it. I find it stupid that SR alone ruins most fire, bug, and flying pokemon in the eyes of Smogon. Like Arcanine, Charizard, etc. Its broken.

I honestly dont think too much about of the user feel. I mean How do they know what the user feels is the right move ect...
