Mission 1: XANA Awakens Part 1.
In Nowhere City, a wide river split the town in two with bridges connecting the town together. In the middle of the river, a car factory was built on an island in 1934 and abandoned in 1984. One summer day in June, a family of Chinese Siamese cats known to Nowhere as the Miaos (pronouced "Meow") went to the factory intending to make it their new home. It was the beginning of a unbelievable story.
Win Bao Miao brought his wife, Shao Fung, and their three kittens, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa, to see the old factory after they all ate lunch. They previously lived in an alley between two buildings for a year and the father decided it was time for a change. The family was standing on a bridge that was built to cross over the river to the factory and was big enough for only a whole truck.
"So what do you guys think?" asked Win Bao to his family. He was refered to as Baba by his kittens.
Well, dear," begun Shao Fung (Mama to her kittens), "it's certainly big." Not to mention totally run down.
"Wait until you see the inside," said Baba. "It's looks better."
"Why are we living in here?" asked Dongwa, the oldest of Mama and Baba's kittens.
"I thought the large space inside would be more than enough to put our stuff," answered Baba.
"What about food?" asked Sheegwa, the youngest kitten. "What will we eat?"
"There are nice, healthy mice running around in there," said Baba. "I wouldn't eat the rats if I were you."
"Are you sure it's safe, Baba?" asked Sagwa, the middle kitten and the most scared. "It doesn't look like a place I'd like to live in."
"Why?" asked Dongwa. "Are you scared?" he teased
"Well, y-yes," Sagwa admitted. "But that has nothing to do with living here."
"Actually, it has everything to do with living here," said Sheegwa.
"I promise you, Sagwa," said Baba. "There is nothing to fear. Once we get settled, you get use to it in no time."
    "Yeah, you're right," smiled Sagwa.
The family of cats proceeded to enter the factory. The doors were open wide so the cats went in. They were on a platform supported by metal pillars. A pair of ropes hung from above to the lower level in place of a ramp for trucks or stairs for humans. The cats each slide down the rope easily to look at the lower level. Looking around, the family saw that the area, known as the cathedral hall, they were in was completely deserted.
"Not bad," said Mama. "It actually looks better on the inside than on the outside. Plus, with a few renovations, we could get settled easily."
"And there's a lot of room to play in," said Sheegwa.
"Can we explore the place?" asked Dongwa.
"Okay, you three," agreed Baba. "But you must be careful. Some of the machines are still here and can be dangerous."
    "We will, Baba," said Sagwa.
And the three siblings went off to explore their new home.
"Are you sure that they'll be okay?" said Mama. "They could get lost."
"No need to worry, my dear," said Baba. "They're our kittens after all."
"Yes, but all the same, I fear for Sagwa," said Mama. "She's not exactly the bravest."
On the west side of the cathedral hall, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa were in the machinery area where there were conveyer belts and other machinery that did not work anymore. Sagwa was looking around for anything dangerous to avoid.
"Wow!" Dongwa awed. "This place is cool."
"What do you think, Sagwa?" asked Sheegwa.
"If not for the scary machines, I'd say its lovely," said Sagwa, obviously fearing the place.
Dongwa had an idea and whispered it to Sheegwa. They were going to play a trick on Sagwa.
"EEEEEEEEIIIIII!" screamed Sheegwa. "It's a giant rat!" She pointed to behind Sagwa.
"Where?" gasped Sagwa. She turned around to look for the huge rat but no such thing existed. "Hey, there's no giant-" She turned to see that her big brother and little sister had disappeared.
"Rats," she cursed. Sagwa knew exactly what they were up to. "They're at it again. Okay, you two, where are you?" she called but it was completely silent. She begun to worry.
"You can't fool me," said Sagwa, trying not to sound scared. "I'm use to your tricks so you may as well give up." She back up under the conveyer belt to hide and he heard laughter. "Where are you?" She turned around to come face to face with a hideous green mask with a pickled-purple nose and an orange-black right eye. Sagwa screamed so loud that Dongwa (who was wearing the mask) fell off the conveyer belt.
"Ha Ha Ha Ha!" laughed Dongwa, flat on his back. "Worth it! It was worth it for the look on your face!"
"It's not funny!" said Sagwa, angry. "Why won't you just grow up?"
"Okay, Sheegwa. You can come out now," said Dongwa, not listening to Sagwa.
Sheegwa came out from behind one of the machines that the conveyer belt lead too.
"Sheegwa! How could you?" Sagwa couldn't believe her own sister was in of this.
"He only told me to just hide," said Sheegwa. "Besides, it was pretty clever."
"He does this all the time," said Sagwa.
"Just face it, Sagwa," said Dongwa, walking up to his sisters. "You just a big scaredy cat."
"And you're just a bully," said Sagwa, up in Dongwa's face. "I've had enough of you." She turned around to return to her parents.
    "What's her problem?" said Dongwa.
"Maybe we shouldn't pull these pranks on her," suggested Sheegwa. "Even I'm tired of them."
"We'll it's her problem she's a coward who always hides," said Dongwa. "I'm tired of being her bodyguard all the time."
Back in the cathedral hall, Sagwa met up with her parent who were done exploring the east wing of the factory. They were in front of the elevator.
"Sagwa, you're back," said Baba. "So what do you think of the place?"
"It's great," said Sagwa. "Once you see for yourself, it's not that scary."
"Where's Dongwa and Sheegwa?" asked Mama.
"They're still exploring," answered Sagwa. They can fall in a hole for all I care. "By the way, Baba. What's that big thing?"
Baba turned to see the elevator. "I believe that it's an elevator. Humans use it to go up and down in building like this factory."
"Can I look inside?" asked Sagwa.
    "Sure," answered Baba.
Sagwa went inside the elevator and saw how big it was.
"Are you sure it's safe?" asked Mama.
"It's inactive so it won't move," Baba reassured. "Besides, Sagwa isn't scared of it."
Sagwa saw a big red button on one of the elevator walls. Curiously, the cat leap up and pushed the button hard enough to start it up. The elevator shook a bit as a metal door came down, sealing Sagwa in.
    "Sagwa!" gasped Mama.
    "Mama!"
And when it seemed that it couldn't get any worse, the elevator descended down the shaft with the terrified tabby inside.
"What's going on? What's happening?" asked Sagwa to nobody.
Eventually, the elevator stopped. The wall to Sagwa's right lifted up, revealing a vault-like door. Sagwa went up to see when the door begun to open up. The cat walked slowly into a dark, barren room.
    "H-hello?" called Sagwa. "Anybody hear?"
The room lit up instantly and started to heat up when Sagwa entered as an amazing creation rose from below the floor.
    "Wow!"
Meanwhile, Dongwa and Sheegwa found a stairway from the machinery room down to the turbine room. There was a large turbine machine beside the stairway while the rest of the room was wide and empty. A corridor was at the end of the room.
"This is a good place to play," said Sheegwa.
"And a good place to race," said Dongwa. "Wanna test that out?"
"Sure," said Sheegwa, "if you can keep up with me."
"We'll race to the end of the corridor," said Dongwa.
Sheegwa and Dongwa raced in the room until they reached the corridor where Sheegwa won.
    "I won!" cheered Sheegwa.
"You just beat me because of your small size," huffed Dongwa.
"Well, now that we've explored the west wing, let's go back to Mama," said Sheegwa.
"Wait," said Dongwa, pointing behind Sheegwa. "What's that? At the end of the corridor."
Sheegwa turned around to see a wall at the end of the corridor.
"How dumb to you think I am?" said Sheegwa. "It's a wall."
"I'm talking about what's above the wall," corrected Dongwa.
Sheegwa walked up and saw a piece of yellow paper with the words "Do Not Enter" printed on it taped over part of the wall that was on a platform.
"It says 'enter' so it must go someplace," said Sheegwa. "Let's go see."
"It also says 'Do Not' so it must go someplace bad," said Dongwa.
"Oh, come on," said Sheegwa. She ran to the end of the corridor and climbed up a ladder to walk on the platform. "What could be behind there that could be so bad?" She came up to the paper and drew her claws. "Now let's have a look." She ripped the paper off with her own claws, peered through the hole and saw something unbelievable. "Dongwa! Come here!"
    "What is it?" Dongwa asked.
Dongwa climbed up the ladder to the platform, ran up to Sheegwa and the hole and peered through the hole as well. Dongwa wanted to see more so he leaned over and fell from the hole to the metal floor.
"Dongwa! Are you okay?" asked Sheegwa. She leaned too far and fell from the hole and landed on her brother.
"Not anymore, thanks to you," groaned Dongwa. He pushed his sister off of him and got up.
Dongwa and Sheegwa looked around the green-lit room. In the center of the room, there was a circular projector with a swivel chair that was connected to a track circling around it. Above the projector, a computer interface hung from the ceiling by a track of metal that contain the wires. Dongwa and Sheegwa were amazed at their discovery.
"What is this room?" asked Dongwa.
"I don't know but it's cool," said Sheegwa. She ran up the chair and jumped onto the seat. "It's comfy."
"Hey!" said Dongwa. "Don't touch anything!"
Sheegwa ignored her brother and pressed a button on the chair's left arm. The cat lurched to the right, much to Sheegwa's surprise, stopped at the computer interface and turned around so Sheegwa could face the computer. Four monitors made up the interface and a keyboard was below the middle monitor.
"Dongwa! It's a computer!" said Sheegwa. "This must be the factory's computer room."
"Wait until Mama and Baba see this!" said Dongwa, excited.
"But how are we going to get back to them?" asked Sheegwa. "We can't climb up that ladder."
"You're right," said Dongwa, realizing their situation. "We're trapped."
Back in the room Sagwa found, a large supercomputer rose from the center of the room as fog filtered into the room. Liquid nitrogen melted off the supercomputer as the computer heated up from the room's temperature. Shocked by the large machine, Sagwa slowly walked up to it to get a closer look. She saw a lever on the circular base of the supercomputer and put her paw on it, curious of what it does.
"I hope I don't regret this," Sagwa said to herself unaware that she would. She pulled down the lever and she heard a loud whining sound coming from the supercomputer and the machine shined brightly like the sun itself. Sagwa was almost blinded by the reactivating supercomputer and screamed.
Three floors up at the cathedral hall, Mama and Baba brought the factory lift back up just as they heard Sagwa scream.
"It's Sagwa," said Mama. "She needs us."
Mama and Baba went into the elevator and Baba hit the red button to take them down to the lowest level. Upon reaching the lowest level, the right wall of the elevator lifted up to reveal the vault-like door which opened up as well. The two parent cats ran over to their kitten who was laying on the ground after fainting.
"Sagwa! Are you alright?" said Mama, checking her daughter.
"Y-yeah," Sagwa managed to say, slowly opening her eyes. Her vision soon cleared up.
"What happened?" asked Baba. He saw the supercomputer. "And what is that thing?"
"I don't know," answered Sagwa. "But I think we should get out of here."
"You're right," said Mama. "Let's go."
The three cats headed back into the elevator, unaware something was watching them via the security camera in the top corner of the room. Before Baba could jump up to hit the red button, the vault-like door and the right wall closed quickly and the elevator lurched up fasted than usual.
    "Now what?" Mama said.
"If you don't know, then neither do I!" said Baba.
The elevator stopped and the right wall lifted up to reveal another vault-like door.
    "We stopped," said Sagwa, relieved.
"But where are we now?" asked Mama.
The vault-like door begun to open.
"We're about to find out," said Baba.
The cats prepared themselves for whatever to expect and the door opened completely.
"Mama! Baba!" Sheegwa and Dongwa shouted together.
    "Dongwa? Sheegwa?" said Mama.
"What are you doing here?" asked Baba.
Sagwa and her parent were in the computer lab that Dongwa and Sheegwa had discovered. The lab was right beneath the cathedral hall.
"It was my fault mostly," said Sheegwa, faking a smile. "Curiosity killed the cat, I guessed."
"How did you find us?" asked Dongwa.
"No idea," said Baba. "The elevator brought us here."
"Dear," said Mama to her husband. "Did you know that this was all here?
"No," replied Baba. "I saw no hint of anything like this before. But I did hear something of a Government project hidden beneath the factory. This must be it."
"Maybe the computer can tell us where we are," suggested Sheegwa.
"Maybe," said Sagwa. "Otherwise we'll never get out."
"We won't know unless we give it a shot," said Baba. "I know computers. I'll see what I can find out."
The father cat jumped up into the seat of the chair and faced the computer interface.
"Now," begun Baba. "Let's see what you have to offer, my friend."
He pressed the enter key and the four monitor lit up. The left monitor showed bar graphs, the right monitor showed maps of the factory and Nowhere itself, and two windows opened on the middle monitor, showing stuff that Baba didn't understand.
    "Well, Baba?" asked Dongwa.
"I'm not sure what to make of it," said Baba. "It's like some kind of video game."
Just then, the middle monitor changed to black and showed an eye-like insignia colored red. Nearby, the computer wires surged and sparked with electricity as a black, slimy, digital substance oozed out from a gap in the wire.
    "Ewww!" said Sheegwa, grossed out.
    "Cool," said Dongwa.
    "Freaky!" a frightened Sagwa squeaked.
The black substance morphed into the shape of a human and took on the appearance of a man in black.
"Where did he come from?" Mama asked.
"You will all come with me now," said the man in a monotone voice with no hint of emotion. "XANA wants you."
The man thrust his right hand to Baba and electricity shot from it to Baba. The shock caused Baba to faint and fall to the floor.
    "Baba! No!" screamed Sheegwa.
The man in black went up to pick up Baba's body from the floor when Mama pounced on him like a tiger.
"I'll teach you to mess with my family!" said Mama, enraged.
The mother cat landed on the man's back and stuck her sharp claws into him. The man felt nothing and he took Mama off his back like she was a little kitten.
"Oh no," said Mama, knowing she was in trouble.
The man shocked Mama with his electricity powers and the cat fell unconscious. All that was left were the Miao Siblings who were all frozen in fear. The man in black put Mama and Baba's bodies over his shoulders and picked up the Miao Siblings, holding Dongwa and Sheegwa under his left armpit and Sagwa under his right. The cats tried to escape but the man was much too strong.
"Let us go, you big oaf!" yelled Dongwa.
The man said nothing. He just walked into the elevator, carrying the family of cats with him, and pressed the red button. The vault door closed, the wall moved down and the elevator descended down the shaft. The lift stopped after a few seconds. The right wall rose up again, revealing the vault door which opened up as well. The room was bright as day and there were three test-tube-shaped chambers standing up and set in a triangle position. Wires leading from the computer room were connected to each chamber. The man placed Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa each in a chamber and placed Mama and Baba's bodies beside Sheegwa's scanner.
"Don't not move if you know what's good for you," threatened the man.
The man walked to a ladder and climbed up back to the computer lab. Once there, he sat in the chair and rapidly typed on the keyboard to activate a program on the Supercomputer. Down below, the three chambers closed their doors one by one with Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa still inside, trapping the cats.
"Help! Somebody get me out!" Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa cried, banging on the chamber doors as hard as they could.
As the cats cried for help, a gust of wind blew upward in each of the chambers. The cats closed their eyes from the blowing wind. A metal ring in each scanner circled around the cats as it analyzed their molecular structure and DNA. Finally a bright light flashed and the cats each disappeared from the chambers.
Sagwa slowly opened up her eyes. She lifted her body up from the ground and rubbed her eyes with her hands. She suddenly remembered that she never had hands. Still feeling nauseous, she saw that her animal paws had become human hands covered with her fur. She felt her face and head which were the same shape as before.
"W-what is this?" Sagwa asked herself as she wiggled her fingers.
But that wasn't all. Her former cat body had transformed into a human body the size of a 9th grader. She was wearing a bodysuit with a strange design, a pink and blue color scheme (from dark to light toned), a clear as glass mini-skirt around her waist and shoulder pads. She wore a pair of fingerless gloves that reached her elbows and a star-shaped bracelet on her left wrist. Sagwa felt her bottom and felt her tail.
"Unbelievable," Sagwa said to herself as she stood up.
Just then, Sagwa heard groaning. She turned around to see four others laying on the ground. One, laying on his stomach, was in a spandex-like jumpsuit with a yellow, black and brown color scheme and carrying two swords on his back. Sagwa recognized him as her brother, Dongwa. Another was in a magenta and dark-purple jumpsuit, velcro sneakers and a yellow sash on her back. It was Sheegwa. The third wore black armor with red accents, a cone-shaped helmet and a sword attached to his waist. Sagwa recognized his face as Baba. The fourth and last wore a bodysuit of violet and black colored spandex, silver boots and gloves with black fingers and earings. It was Mama Miao.
"You guys are here too?" said Sagwa.
Dongwa and Sheegwa woke up and were just as surprised as Sagwa when they saw how much their bodies had changed.
"This is incredible!" said Dongwa, feeling his new body. He drew both of his swords. "And these swords rock!"
"Hey, I'm tall!" cheered Sheegwa, jumping up. "How did this happen?"
"I don't know. I just woke up," answered Sagwa. She turned to Mama and Baba. "Mama! Baba! Wake up!"
Baba woke up, begun to stand and noticed that his body had change.
"Huh?" grunted Baba, holding his head with his hand. He looked at his hand and the rest of his body. "What in the-? How-? Where did this armor come from?"
    Amazing, isn't it?" said Dongwa.
Mama got up and looked at her body and her suit.
"This is so strange," said Mama. "But I love this outfit. It fits like a glove and I feel light as a feather."
"I know," agreed Sheegwa. "But at least we're all together."
"By the way, where are we?" asked Sagwa.
The cats were so fascinated by their new bodies that hadn't bothered to look around to see where they were. When they did, they saw that the sky was pitch black with no moon and that they were standing on a plateau of light blue ice with a strange land formation near the cats. Nearby, there was a tall tower glowing a blue aura around its top. The land floated over a digital sea as well as other parts of land. Not to mention that the cats and their environment looked like they were in a CGI Video Game.
"This day keeps on getting more weird by the minute," stated Dongwa. "I don't think we're in Nowhere anymore."
"I don't think we're on Earth anymore," said Sagwa. "It looks like we're in some sort of video game."
"It's much more than that!" boomed a loud voice.
The five cats turned around to see who was it who spoke and saw a floating ball of electric energy. The five sensed that something about the strange being was anything but good.
"Welcome to Lyoko, Miao Family," greeted the strange being. "I am XANA, your lord and master."
"Lord and what?" said Baba in disbelief. "I don't think so."
"Oh really?" said XANA. "You won't think the same thing once you are my warriors."
    "Who decided that?" retorted Mama.
"I did!" boomed XANA. "Now allow me to explain. The machine that you reactivated is a quantum supercomputer which houses this virtual world known as Lyoko. This icy terrain is just one of the four sectors that make up this virtual world. After awakening from my long sleep, I, XANA, can now achieve my goal to take over your world, Earth."
    "But why?" asked Sheegwa.
"Your world is ruled by incompetent beings who are destroying their own world," said XANA. "With the powers that I possess, I will build my own empire and the humans shall be my slaves. You five kittens should be honored that I've decided to spare your lives."
"Then that means that man in black was you!" realized Sagwa.
"A creation of mine, to be correct," said XANA. "I can create Spectres that can change into humans and even take over one's mind or a machine. Now that I've explained everything, let's have a look at your powers."
    "Powers?" Dongwa said, confused.
"Your new bodies give you weapons and powers that will help you fight on Lyoko," XANA explained. "You will discovered them as you fight my monsters. The ones remaining will be my warriors. Good luck. You'll need plenty of it."
XANA floated up to the top of a small ice plateau where he would view the events to come. Lightening surged from his round, clear body and robotic monsters materialized in front of the Miao Family. There were three red monsters each with four short legs and an Eye on their back, two spider-like monsters with long legs and an Eye on their head, and three blocks with spider legs and an Eye on four of its sides. The Miao Family was shocked by the monsters' appearance.
"Allow me to introduce you to your sparring partners," said XANA. "These are the Krabs, Tarantulas and Bloks. Begin the battle... now!"
The monsters advanced towards the five cats.
"Looks like there's no way out of this," said Dongwa, drawing his swords. "Let's fight!"
    "Dongwa!" cried Mama and Baba.
"Super Sprint!" Dongwa shouted as he ran toward his enemies at a great speed. He jumped onto a Krab and struck the Eye of XANA on its back with his swords. The Krab staggered a bit and exploded, causing Dongwa to take a hard fall to the ground. The Krab's remains dematerialized.
"Not bad for a start," said Dongwa, hurt from his rough landing. "Everyone aim for the Eye like a target!"
The rest of the monsters, aware of their enemy's strength, fired lasers at the other family members. Sagwa ran away, screaming in fear as some of the monsters chased her, while Sheegwa checked her person for a weapon.
"No fair," groaned Sheegwa. "Why don't I have a weapon?" Just then, two metallic fans materialized in her hands as if she willed them to appear. "I wonder..."
Another Krab shot its laser at Sheegwa who blocked it with her fans as if by instinct. She then threw her fans like frisbees at the Krab and they both sliced through the Krab. The fans returned to Sheegwa like a boomerang and the Krab exploded.
"That's the end of them," said Sheegwa.
Meanwhile, Mama and Baba were already fighting. Baba drew his sword, leaped into the air and sliced the third Krab like butter, destroying it as well. Mama, with her agility, dodge the lasers from two Bloks and a Tarantula. She threw her Shuriken at a Blok to destroy it and her Dagger to strike the second. She dash towards the Tarantula, jumped up and spun like a drill as she kicked the Tarantula. The monster got up only to be struck in the Eye by Sheegwa's fans.
"I'm getting the hang of this," said Sheegwa.
    "Where's Sagwa?" Mama asked Dongwa.
"If I know her, then she's running for her life," answered Dongwa.
"If you have time to talk, then you have time to fight!" boomed XANA as two more Tarantula and two more Bloks stepped from behind XANA's plateau.
Meanwhile, Sagwa was running away as fast as she could to get away from the monsters. She turned her head to see if she lost them but saw that a Blok and a Tarantula were chasing after her. The Blok was blasting its laser from its Eye.
"Get away from me!" Sagwa said as she thrust her hand out and shot a pink energy orb from her palm, destroying the Blok. "Whoa!"
Sagwa was surprised of her newly discovered powers when she looked ahead and stopped at the dead end. She was standing on the edge of a cliff which below it laid a digital sea that looked dangerous. She was trapped and before she could do anything, the Tarantula got on its knees, lifting its arms in the air to aim its lasers at her and fired at Sagwa, causing her to get hurt and fall off the cliff.
    "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Sagwa fell helplessly toward the digital sea. She fell and fell. And then, she stopped. Sagwa opened her eyes and saw two angel wings on her back. The cat also notice more land floating in the air but knew it was no time for sightseeing. She flew back up to the ice plateau. The Tarantula aim its lasers at Sagwa but Sagwa prepared another pink energy orb.
"Energy Field!" shouted Sagwa as she fired the energy orb at the Tarantula, destroying it. The cat soared by toward her family who were fighting the last four monsters.
    "It's Sagwa!" said Sheegwa.
"Looks like she earn her wings," joked Dongwa.
"Did you miss me?" smiled Sagwa.
Sagwa landed on the ground and her angel wings disappeared. The whole family of warriors gathered around to face the last two monsters, a Blok and a Tarantula.
"Leave the rest to us, kids," said Baba.
    "Just stay here," said Mama.
The Miao parents ran to fight the remaining monsters left. Baba Miao, with his mighty sword, blocked the laser blasts from the Tarantula and struck in the eye. The monster exploded and its remains dematerialized. Mama backflipped through the Blok's laser rings, punched it in the Eye and kicked it to finish it off. The Miao Sibling were amazed at their parents abilities.
"Hmmmm," pondered XANA. "Those two fight easily and they've taken out most of my monsters. Time for a little elimination."
"XANA!" shouted Baba. "We have fought your monsters. Now what?"
"Now that you've beaten my monsters," begun XANA, "I shall now eliminate three of you and take two to be my warriors."
    "What?" gasped Mama.
"I will have no weaklings in my army," said XANA. "Now say hello to the Megatank!"
A big black bowling ball rolled around the plateau and split open to reveal the Eye of XANA. It then started gathering energy in the Eye and the family of cats realized it was about to attack.
    "Everybody, run!" shouted Sagwa.
But before anyone could move, the Megatank fired a ellipical laser wall and hit Sheegwa, causing great pain for her. The other four jumped out of the way.
"Sheegwa! Are you okay?" Dongwa asked.
"Y-yeah, I think," Sheegwa managed to say.
Sheegwa begun to lose feeling in her legs and waist. She looked and saw that her body disappearing
    "Sheegwa!" cried Mama!
Sheegwa was too scared to speak and she disappeared completely.
"Don't worry," said XANA. "She's been devirtualized, not killed." He looked at Dongwa. "And you're next."
The Megatank aimed and fired another laser at Dongwa. The male cat was devirtualized like Sheegwa. Frightened, Sagwa tried to run away.
"You won't escape either!" said XANA. "Megatank, get her!"
The Megatank charged up for a third attack and aimed a Sagwa. Mama and Baba ran to help her but it was too late. The laser wall was fired and Sagwa was struck in the back. She fell to the ground and she was devirtualized.
"And then there were two," said XANA.
"You monster!" shouted a very angry Baba as he drew his sword to fight. "I'll teach you to mess with our children." He ran toward the Megatank as the monster begun charging up for another attack.
"This should be interesting," said XANA to himself.
Baba concentrated all of his energy into his sword, struck the Megatank in the Eye, and jumped away before it exploded. The knight warrior withdrew his sword. XANA floated down to Mama and Baba's level to speak to the parents himself.
"Well done, you two. You have proved yourselves worthy of being my warriors!" boomed XANA.
"Thanks but no thanks, XANA. We're not joining you!" said Mama. "Our children need us."
"Oh, don't worry," said XANA. "Soon you won't remember any of them. You belong to me now so now those useless, bothersome memories must be removed." He shot two red beams at Mama and Baba and they were teleported away. XANA laughed to himself and teleported away himself.
Back on Earth, the three chambers opened up and Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa each got out of one. Their bodies were back to normal and they didn't look like something from a video game.
"We're back on Earth," said Dongwa.
    "We're cats again," said Sheegwa.
"That's too bad," said Sagwa. "I was getting use to being human."
"Wait a minute," said Dongwa, realizing something was wrong. "Where is Mama and Baba?"
"They're not here," said Sheegwa, looking around.
"It's XANA. He must have got them!" Sagwa said.
"What do we do now?" asked Dongwa.
"Get help," answered Sagwa. "We're three small cats so we need to find somebody who can help us."
"I hope so," said Sheegwa, sadly. "I want to see Mama again." A tear soaked into her fur as she begun to cry.
"Don't worry, Sheegwa," said Dongwa, comforting his little sister. "We'll get them back. I promise." But he wasn't sure how.

Code Lyoko was actually a TV show on CartoonNetwork. The characters were Yumi, Urich, Odd, Jeremy, Sissy, etc. And they'd have to get Aelita to the tower! And after nearly every mission in Season 1, Jeremy would say: "Return to the Past...Now."

    It's the same thing

OT: It's...okay, I guess. There's a helluvalot of dialogue, that's for sure. It's sort of lumps of dialogue and description separate, which...isn't that good.

Oh, and separate lines with double enter, PC don't support indents.

Mission 2: Xana Awakens Part 2.
Two days later, a coach bus entered Nowhere city. It carried various passengers, including one young pre-teen boy with a backpack and a duffel bag containing his belongings. He wore a yellow shirt, blue jeans, red sneakers and round glasses. The boy is named Arthur Read and his life is about to change forever.
After leaving the bus station, Arthur, carrying his backpack and duffel bag, walked through town until he reached a gas station on the corner of a street. He was to meet up with his cousin who would then take Arthur to his home to stay for the summer. Arthur looked at his watch which read 12:15.
"Great! I'm ten minutes early!" groaned Arthur as he sat down on a bench, dropping his duffel bag onto the ground. "Now what do I do?" He saw that he was in front of a snack shop and realized that he hadn't eaten in a while. "Might as well get some food." He got up and entered the shop but forgot about his duffel bag.
The moment Arthur entered the shop, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa were passing by. After getting out of the factory, the cats tried to find their way home but only ended up getting lost in the city. They saw Arthur's duffel bag in front of the bench.
"Maybe there's food in that bag," suggested Sheegwa.
"Even if there was, we can't take any," said Dongwa. "That'd be stealing.
"We know but we're starving," groaned Sagwa.
"No means no!" said Dongwa, putting his foot down. "I'm the oldest so you have to do what I say."
"Then don't expect us to share any if we find food," said Sagwa. "Come on, Sheegwa."
"Okay!" said Sheegwa, following her older sister to the bag.
    "Hey, wait!" shouted Dongwa.
Ignoring Dongwa, Sheegwa and Sagwa unzipped the duffel bag to take a look.
"There's nothing but clothes in here," said Sheegwa.
"Maybe its buried beneath it all," suggested Sagwa.
Sagwa and Sheegwa went into the bag of clothes and begun searching for food. Dongwa, feeling hungry, decided to join in.
"Hey, save some for me!" he shouted as he dived into the bag after his sisters.
A few seconds later, Arthur exited the shop, having bought potato chips, pretzels, and candy, to see the duffel bag moving around. Arthur squat down to see that the zipper was open and he reached his hand into the duffel bag. When he felt something fluffy, he grabbed a hold of it and pulled his hand out to see what he found. He was holding Sagwa's tail and Sagwa herself was hanging upside down in the air.
"Hey! Let me go!" said Sagwa as she stuggled.
Sagwa scratched Arthur's wrist with her right foot claws, causing Arthur to drop Sagwa to the ground.
"Gee, thanks," said Sagwa, sarcastically. She was hurt from hanging from her tail and the landing. "That hurt, you know."
"Sorry," apologized Arthur, cringing at Sagwa's scratch. "Your scratch hurt me too."
"Sorry," apologized Sagwa. "But you should never pull a cat by her tail."
"A bit late for that piece of advice," said Arthur.
    "Sagwa, are you okay?"
Dongwa and Sheegwa came out of the bag to see if their sister was okay.
"I was until he pulled my tail," said Sagwa, pointing to Arthur.
"I said I was sorry!" protested Arthur before realizing something. "Wait a second. Are you cats really speaking English?"
"Yeah, we are," said Sagwa. "I can also speak French."
"But how is that possible?" asked Arthur.
"It's a long story," said Dongwa. "For now, we're lost and starving. Can we have some of your food?"
"Sure," said Arthur. He opened his bag of potato chips and gave it to the Miao Siblings. "By the way, I'm Arthur Read. Who are you guys?"
    "I'm Sagwa Miao," said Sagwa.
    "I'm Dongwa Miao," said Dongwa.
"And I'm Sheegwa Miao," said Sheegwa.
At once, the cats started eating the potato chip until there wasn't a single piece left.
"So where are your parents?" asked Arthur. "They must be worried if you're all lost."
Upon hearing the question, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa's happy faces turned to frowns. The memories of Lyoko, XANA and the monsters were still fresh in their minds and the cats didn't know how to tell Arthur the unbelievable story as they didn't believe it themselves. Dongwa broke the silence.
"They're," he begun, "not with us anymore."
"Oh," said Arthur. He misunderstood, thinking that their parents died. "I didn't realize..."
"It's not like that," said Sagwa. "They were taken away."
"By who?" asked Arthur. "And why?"
Before Sagwa, Dongwa, or Sheegwa could answer, a car drove up to the curb and its horn honked, getting their attention. The window rolled down, revealing a boy in his late teens wearing sunglasses and sitting in the driver's seat. Arthur recognized him as his cousin, Franky Frensky.
"Hey, Four Eyes!" greeted Franky, calling Arthur by his old nickname. "Long time, no see!"
"Franky!" exclaimed Arthur. He got up and went over to the car. "It has been a while."
"Francine's waiting at the Hermitage," said Franky. "Get your stuff and hop in." He noticed the Miao Siblings. "Who are your friends?"
"Them?" said Arthur, looking back at the cats. "I just met them now. Believe it or not, they can speak fluent English."
"So they're the famous talking cats of Nowhere," said Franky. "I thought there were five of them."
"They were separated from their parent," explained Arthur. Then he had a thought. "Hey, Franky. Can Sagwa, Dongwa, and Sheegwa stay at the Hermitage with us? They have no place to go to."
Franky thought for a moment and came to an answer. "Sure they can. But only until their parents are found or when Mom and Dad come home from vacation. You know how mom doesn't take kindly to pets in the house."
"Gotcha," said Arthur. He turned to Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa. "Do you three want to come with me? We'll give you food and everything."
"Really?" said the cats together, their faces brightening up.
"Sure," said Arthur, opening the backseat door to the car. "Hop in."
As the Miao Siblings hopped into the backseat, Arthur got his duffel bag and into the car next to Franky. Everyone fastened their seatbelts and Franky drove off. The ride was relaxing for Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa but the cats couldn't help but worry about XANA and their parents.
Meanwhile in a nearby diner, a chef was busily preparing a meal in the kitchen. Just then, in the corner of his left eye, he saw a rather ugly dog. It had gray fur, a crooked snout and its tongue was hanging out, indicating that it was hungry. The chef stopped what he was doing and crouched down to see the dog.
"How did you get in here?" asked the chef. "I know this diner allows dogs to come in but they aren't allowed in the kitchen."
    The dog barked.
"I guess you're lost," said the chef. "I'll help you find your owners." He reached out to the dog but it moved back, untrusting of the chef. "Come on, you can trust me. I can help you."
Nearby, an outlet plug sparked with electricity and a black, slimy, digital substance oozed out in the shape of a ghostly figure. The dog saw the spectre and barked violently at it.
"What's the matter?" asked the chef as he turned to see the spectre in front of him. Freaked out, the chef collapsed to the ground as the spectre swooped down and entered the dog's body, taking over its mind. The chef moved slowly to the dog. "Are you okay?" He reached his hand out to the dog and the canine bit him hard. "AAAARRRRGGHH! Son of a gun!" He ran to the employee bathroom to wash his hands and get the emergency medical supplies when he begun to feel woozy. Then the bite marks on his hand begun to sting violently. "What's happening to me?" he asked himself in a distorted voice. His skin turned clammy gray, his eye pupils disappeared, and his muscles grew. He became a monster.
Filled with blind rage, the monster burst out of the kitchen, causing the costumers to panic. But this was only the beginning.
After less than 30 minutes of driving, Franky's car arrived at the Hermitage. Franky drove into the driveway, stopped and turned off the car.
"Here we are!" said Franky, getting out of the car. "Home sweet home!"
Arthur got out of the car with his stuff and opened the backseat door to let Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa out. The cats saw the huge two story house.
"Wow!" said Sheegwa. "Are we going to live here?"
"For the time being," said Arthur. "Until your parents are found, you'll need someplace to live."
"Do you live here, Arthur?" asked Sagwa.
"No," said Arthur. "Not anymore. I'm just here until September."
"Hey!" Franky shouted from the front door. "Let's get a move on! Time's a wastin'!"
    "We're coming, Franky!" shouted Arthur.
The Miao Siblings followed Arthur as he ran up the stairs to the front porch where Franky opened the door to get into the Hermitage. The five entered a hallway where they saw a down stairway to their left, various household object against the wall and an up stairway at the end of the hallway. A young pre-teen girl with short hair wearing jeans and a red shirt entered the hallway from a doorway to the living room. She was Francine Frensky, Arthur's cousin and Franky's little sister.
"You're here!" said Francine, running up to Arthur. "My, have you grown! I haven't seen you since last Christmas."
"You not so short either, Francine," said Arthur.
"So Arthur," said Francine, noticing the Miao Siblings, "who are you little friends?"
"You may know them," said Franky. "They're the famous talking cats of Nowhere."
"Nice to meet you, Francine," said Sagwa.
"Wow!" Francine gasped. "You three really can talk and you're so cute too."
"Their parents are missing so they'll be staying with us for the time being," explained Arthur.
"It's be my pleasure!" said Francine. "Let's head to the kitchen! You guys must be hungry."
    "Are we ever!" said Dongwa.
Francine lead the group through the living room where there was a wide-screen TV, couches to sit on and a piano in the corner. Arthur stopped when he saw the piano and went over to it.
I can't believe it's still here, Arthur thought. He sat down on bench and begun to play "Chopsticks" on the piano. A nostalgic feeling flowed through him as he played the music and forgot what he was originally doing when...
    "Arthur."
Arthur snapped back to reality and stopped playing. He turned to see everyone looking at him. "Yeah, what is it?"
"That was great music," said Sheegwa.
"Are you a musician?" asked Sagwa.
"Yes," answered Arthur. "To be specific, I'm a bit of a pianist."
"Okay, guys. Concert's over," said Francine. "It's lunchtime now!"
In the kitchen, Arthur, Franky and Francine were sitting at the table while Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa ate out of bowls set up for them by Francine. They were eating faster than usual as it was their first meal in over a day (not counting the potato chips).
"More please!" the cats said after finishing their portion.
"Well, okay," said Francine, putting more food into the Miaos' bowls. "At least you're being polite."
"So, Miao," said Franky, refering the cats as a whole, "how come you three know how to speak like humans?"
"We don't know the details," said Sagwa, "but we're part of a family of Chinese, Siamese cats that can communicate with humans."
"Before we came to America," continued Sheegwa, "our old caretaker taught us and our parents how to speak English."
"You had a caretaker?" asked Arthur.
"Yeah," said Sheegwa. "She's an expert at Martial Arts and she can take you down in two seconds flat."
"Sounds like it," said Arthur. He finished his meal. "I'm going to my room upstairs, Francine, to set up my stuff and connect my laptop."
"You better not do what I think you're going to do," teased Francine.
"Hey," said Arthur, "I may be a computer person and almost 13 year old but I don't do that kind of stuff!" Jeez! With that, he went through the living room and headed up the stairs.
"Sagwa, could you go upstairs to keep an eye on him?" asked Francine.
    "Why?" asked Sagwa.
"I don't want him doing anything 'naughty'." said Francine. "You know what I mean?"
"I guess," said Sagwa. She left the kitchen to follow Arthur to his room.
"Give Arthur a break, Franny," said Franky, calling Francine by her nickname. "He hasn't been here since that day and it's bad enough that he can't remember his life here or his parents."
"You're right," said Francine. "Plus it has been six years..."
Dongwa and Sheegwa were wondering what they were talking about when the phone rang.
"I'll get it," said Franky. He got out of his chair and went into the living room to pick up the phone. "Hello. Franky here."
"Oh, thank god! You're okay!" said a female voice in a distressed tone. It was Jessie, Franky's girlfriend.
    "Jessie?" said Franky. "What's wrong?"
"Turn on the TV, Franky," said Jessie. "You'll see what's wrong."
Franky took the remote and turned on the television in the living room. An emergency news broadcast was on.
"There have been reports of vicious creatures in Nowhere that have been attacking citizens and turning them into other creatures," reported Kent Brockman the reporter. "We at the Nowhere News Station advise everyone to get to safety immediately!" Another piece of paper was handed to him and he read the shocking update. "This just in! The creatures have invaded this very news station! This is Kent Brockman, telling you to run for your lives!"
Franky switched off the TV when he and everyone heard a loud banging noise. He hung up the phone and went into the hallway to see what was making that noise and saw that the front door was being rammed from the outside.
Meanwhile upstairs, Arthur was in his room, setting up his laptop on a desk. The room was small with only a desk and a bed on each side. Arthur turned on his computer to check everything on it.
"Good," he said. "Everything's saved and I have internet here." He looked around the room and thought to himself. It's been so long since I've been in this room. Even though I can't remember at thing about it. He sighed.
    "Arthur?"
Arthur turned to his right and looked down to see Sagwa. "Oh, hi. What are you doing here?"
"Francine told me to see if you weren't doing anything 'naughty," whatever that's suppose to mean," answered Sagwa.
"O-kay," said Arthur, slightly disturbed. "Well, I'm not, as you can see."
"What are you doing then?" asked Sagwa, innocently.
"I'm just checking my laptop," said Arthur. "It's a mini computer, in case you don't know. This one is the latest model."
"Are you good with computers?" asked Sagwa.
"Very good!" answered Arthur. "I'm considered a prodigy back in my hometown, Elewood."
"I see," said Sagwa. Maybe Arthur is the one who can help us with XANA.
Just then, Sagwa and Arthur heard the ramming of the door. Quickly, the two ran downstairs into the hallway where Franky, Francine, Dongwa and Sheegwa were.
"Franky, what's going on?" asked Arthur.
"I don't know," said Franky, "and I don't think we're going to like it."
Finally, the door swung open and two monsters entered the room. One wore a business suit and the other wore a dress from when they were formally human. Everyone was greatly shocked by their grotesque appearance and Sagwa cling onto Dongwa. The monsters sniffed the air to smell their prey.
"Everyone," said Franky, "there's a way out through the basement. Miao, you three run ahead of us."
Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa ran down the stairway to the basement and Arthur, Franky, and Francine begun to follow them when the monsters pounced towards them. Quickly, Francine sprayed their eyes with Pepper Spray, making them writhe in pain.
"Why were you carrying Pepper Spray?" asked Arthur.
"I always do," said Francine. "Let's go!"
Arthur, Franky and Francine ran down the stairs, entered the hallway in the basement and headed for a door at the end where the Miao Siblings were waiting for them. Franky opened the door and everyone ran outside to the backyard, closing the door behind them.
"Now what do we do?" asked Dongwa.
Arthur noticed a metal door nearby and images flashed in his mind.
A six-year-old Arthur walked up to the metal door. He looked up to a man whose face was blocked by the afternoon sunlight. The man turned the door's handle and he and Arthur entered a staircase to the sewers.
Arthur snapped back to reality. He went up to the metal door, turned the handle and opened the door. Everyone went over to see what Arthur had found and saw a staircase to the sewers. Seeing as they had no other choice, they closed the door behind them and ran down the stairs into the sewers.
"Ewww!" said Sagwa, covering her nose. "It's so stinky!"
"Hey! At least we're safe from those monsters," said Dongwa.
"Where are we anyways?" asked Sheegwa.
"We're in the sewer system," answered Franky. "This is where things go when you flush them down the toilet."
"No wonder it smells," said Sagwa. "Ugh!"
"But why was there a passageway to here?" asked Francine. "And what do we do now?"
"Now we make our way though this system and find someplace safe from those creature," answered Arthur. "I'll lead the way."
Franky, Francine and the Miao Siblings follow Arthur through the sewer system aimlessly for almost two hours until they came to a dead end where the water filtered out into the river. There was a ladder to their left that lead up to a trap door.
"Here's a way out," said Arthur, starting to climb up. "Let's hope it leads someplace safe." He climbed up to the top where he opened the trap door and looked around.
"Do you see any of those monsters?" asked Francine.
"Nope, the coast is clear," Arthur replied, "and there's a place we can hide too." He climbed onto the surface. "Come up and see for yourself."
Franky and Francine climbed up the ladder followed by Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa. The surface they all climbed onto was a bridge which led to a place that the Miao Siblings recognized instantly.
    "We came back," said Sagwa.
The bridge led to the old abandoned car factory where the supercomputer and Lyoko was hidden beneath.
"Unbelievable," said Dongwa. "How did we make all the way back here?"
"You three been here before?" said Franky.
"Yes," answered Sheegwa. "We came here with our parents two days ago. We were going to make this our new home when we discovered something amazing."
    "What was it?" asked Francine.
"I discovered some sort of supercomputer hidden below the factory itself," said Sagwa. "It contained a virtual world called Lyoko."
"Lyoko?" said Arthur. The word rung a bell.
"We though things couldn't get any worse," said Dongwa. "But a strange being named XANA brought us to Lyoko to make us his warriors. We had to fight his monsters but we took them out with our superpowers."
    "Powers?" said Franky in confusion.
"On Lyoko, we get cool superpowers, weapons and a human body," answered Sheegwa.
"As I was saying," continued Dongwa, "we managed to protect ourselves and Sagwa manage to make a coward of herself. After that, we three were devirtualized by one of the monsters and sent back to Earth but Mama and Baba never came back."
"Well, that was a nice story and all," said Francine, "but what does this have to do with our current situation?"
"XANA did say he wanted to take over the world," said Sheegwa. "Maybe those monsters belong to him."
"We need to stop XANA from attacking Earth and save our parents," said Sagwa. "Arthur, can you work a supercomputer?"
"I guess so," said Arthur, unsure of himself. "That depends. Can you show me this supercomputer?"
"Sure," said Dongwa. "Just follow us."
After entering the factory and sliding down the ropes, Arthur, Franky, Francine and the Miao Siblings were in the Cathedral hall. The cats showed them the factory lift.
"But that thing's way too old!" said Francine. "I doubt it'd support any of us."
"We'll have to see for ourselves," said Arthur. He went into the lift box and jumped up and down 4 times. "So far, so good. Come on."
Franky, Francine, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa got into the lift box and Arthur pressed the big red button. A metal door came down, sealing them all inside, and descended downward. The elevator then stopped and the right wall lifted up to reveal the vault-like door which opened up in two to let the six enter the computer lab. Arthur, Franky and Francine were flabbergasted.
"Wow!" said Franky. "I can't tell if this day is getting weirder or better."
"It's weird, all right," said Francine. "What do you think, Arthur?"
"What do I think?" said Arthur, walking around the room. "It's awesome! I can't believe such a thing actually exists! It's like a dream come true!"
"That's nice to know," said Sagwa, "but can you work it?"
"Sure, but I need a manual," said Arthur when he stepped on something. He looked down to see that it was a black hardcover notebook and picked it up. "This should clear things up." He opened up the notebook to find sketches of the supercomputer, the world of Lyoko, and the chambers that once sent the Miao Siblings to Lyoko. There was information that explained what was what and codes to activate the programs. Arthur read a some pages for a few minutes.
"What does that book say?" asked Sheegwa.
"To sum up what I just read so far," said Arthur as he went over to the computer chair to sit down, "Lyoko is a virtual world created within the supercomputer. It's divide into four lands that are based on certain biomes of Earth."
"So it's like a virtual reality video game?" asked Francine. "Then who's XANA?"
"I'll check the notebook," said Arthur. He flipped through some pages until he found something. "It says here that XANA's a self-sufficient multi-agent program created to protect the supercomputer. In other words, he's like a living soul in a computer."
"But why is he attacking Earth?" asked Franky.
"The notebook doesn't say," said Arthur. "It also says that XANA can't leave the supercomputer because of a firewall that prevents him from accessing other computers."
"If that's true, then how is he attacking Earth?" asked Sheegwa.
"Let me check," said Arthur, as he skimmed through the notebook until he found something interesting. "According to this, there are towers on Lyoko that can connect to Earth. XANA must be using one of them to pass through the firewall to access Earth's computers."
"Now that that's cleared up," begun Sagwa, "how are we going to stop him?"
"Simple," said Arthur as he moved the chair to the computer monitor. "You guys will go to Lyoko and deactivate the tower. I'll be here to guide you there."
"But we don't know how to deactivate the tower!" protested Dongwa.
"You will once I figure it out," said Arthur. He pressed the "enter" key on the keyboard and the monitors turned on. "But first, let's find out where this tower is." Reading from the notebook, Arthur typed in a code to activate a program that begun to scan the towers to see which one XANA was using. A window on the middle monitor opened up and showed all the towers in the system being scanned. Eventually, the program stopped on one tower and gave its location. "I found it. It's in the Desert Sector. I'll try to send you guys there. Head for the scanners."
    "Okay, Arthur," said Dongwa.
Sagwa, Dongwa, Sheegwa, Franky and Francine returned to the factory lift and Franky pushed the button to make the left go down one floor. The right wall lift up and the vault-like door opened up in half. The five entered the brightly-lit room where the three chambers called scanners stood in their usual triangular position.
"You guys there?" asked Arthur. He was using an ear piece to speak to them through a loudspeaker in the scanner room.
    "We're here, Arthur," said Sheegwa.
"Good," said Arthur. "Each of you get into a scanner and I'll send you to Lyoko."
"Exactly what's on Lyoko?" asked Francine.
"Weird monsters that want to massacre you," answered Dongwa. "You two wanna join us?"
"No thanks," said Francine. "I'm more of an Earth person."
"Plus I have a girlfriend," said Franky.
With that, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa entered a scanner but Sagwa was scared as usual.
"I don't know about this," said Sagwa. "What if we do run into those monsters again?"
"Don't worry, Sagwa," said Dongwa. "We'll have our powers to help us."
"And if we defeat XANA," said Sheegwa, "maybe we'll get back Mama and Baba."
Sagwa thought for a moment and answered. "You're right. Let's do it. For Mama and Baba." She smiled.
"Are you ready for the big plunge?" asked Arthur in the computer room.
    "We're ready, Arthur," said Sagwa.
"Okay," said Arthur. "I'm beginning the transfer now!" He hit the enter key and activated the program. "Transfer, Sheegwa. Transfer, Dongwa. Transfer, Sagwa."
Down below, the three scanners closed their doors one by one with one of the Miao Siblings inside. On the computer monitor, three out of five digital cards appeared on the screen, each one of the three showing Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa's Lyoko form and the other two showing Mama and Baba's Lyoko form. In the scanner room, the scanners lit up inside.
"Scanner, Sheegwa. Scanner, Dongwa. Scanner, Sagwa," said Arthur, typing in a new code to activate the scanners.
Down below in the scanners, a gust of wind blew upward as a metal ring circled around Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa who each closed their eyes and braced themselves.
"Virtualization!" said Arthur, pressing the enter button.
In the scanners, a bight light shone as Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa's bodies were broken down and sent through the wires to the supercomputer. The scanner doors opened up, showing Franky and Francine nothing inside. On Lyoko, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa's virtual humanoid bodies formed in mid-air. When they were complete, they dropped to the ground one by one. Dongwa and Sheegwa landed on their feet while Sagwa landed on her bottom.
"Ow," groaned Sagwa. "Talk about a rough landing."
"Sorry about that," said Arthur. He was still in the computer room, speaking to the cats through the ear piece. "By the way, what does it look like on Lyoko?"
"It looks different from the last time we three came here," said Dongwa. "But it's awesome."
Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa were in Lyoko's Desert Sector. It was made of a collection of dry, rocky plateau floating over the digital sea and under an orange sky. There was an upper level and a lower level of plateaus. There was a trench on a plateau in front of the Miao Siblings.
"So where's the tower?" asked Sheegwa.
"Straight through the trench in front of you," said Arthur. "Be careful, the computer monitor shows three other virtual beings near the tower."
"Looks like XANA was expecting us," said Dongwa. "He's smarter than I thought."
"So what are we going to do?" Sagwa asked.
"We'll know once we get there," said Dongwa. "Come on." He ran towards the trench ahead of his sisters.
"Hey, wait for us," said Sheegwa, running after her brother.
"Don't leave me behind!" said Sagwa, running after her big brother and little sister.
After passing through the huge trench, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa stopped to see another plateau where at the end they saw a tower glowing a red aura guarded by three of the Krabs they saw on their last visit to Lyoko.
"Now that we're near the tower," said Dongwa, "how are we going to deactivate it?"
"Well, I may be off by a slight miscalculation," said Arthur, "but you're gonna need to keep Sagwa virtualized so that she can enter the tower and then deactivate it."
    "Me?" said Sagwa. "Why me?"
"Your Virtual Template is programed to be able to activate and deactivate towers," said Arthur. "I'll explain later. For now, Sagwa must get to that tower."
"And how do you expect us to get past those Krabs?" asked Sheegwa.
"You're the ones with the powers and weapons," said Arthur. "Use them."
The Miao Siblings had briefly forgotten that they had powers and weapons. Dongwa drew his swords, Sheegwa conjured her Tessen Fans and Sagwa created an Energy Field with her left hand.
"Alright girls," said Dongwa, "let's show XANA who he's dealing with!"
With that, the Lyoko Warriors charged onto the plateau towards the monsters. The Krabs advanced towards them, blasting the lasers. Dongwa swiftly dodged each one with his super sprint while Sagwa and Sheegwa tried their best not to get hit. Dongwa jumped up and stabbed the Eye of XANA in the Krab with one of his swords. He jumped off the Krab as it exploded into pieces that eventually dematerialized. Sheegwa took out her Tessen Fans and tossed them both at another Krab. The fans circled around the Krab and sliced through it, causing it to explode. The last Krab advanced towards Sagwa who tried her best to stand her ground.
Come on, Sagwa, the cat thought to herself. You can do it. Just blast the monster away.
The Krab blasted a laser at Sagwa and it hit her in the belly. Sagwa was hurt but soon recovered.
"Thank goodness," said Arthur. "You only lost 20 of your Life Points."
Sagwa turned and ran away in fear towards the right edge of the plateau.
"What are you doing?" asked Arthur. "You're heading for the digital sea! It's dangerous!"
"How dangerous?" asked Sagwa, stopping at the plateau's edge.
"How does 'eternal virtualization' sound?" asked Arthur, sarcastically.
The Krab caught up to Sagwa and blasted her from the back, causing her to fall of the edge. Quickly, as if by instinct, Sagwa concentrated with her mind and a piece of the desert plateaus digitalized just below her. Sagwa landed on the floating piece of digital rock and got up.
"That was amazing!" said Arthur. "You made that rock appear like you willed it to."
    "Aren't I creative?" said Sagwa.
"Now all you have to do is get back to your siblings and deactivate the tower," said Arthur.
"How do I do that?" asked Sagwa.
"Wave your hand over that star-shaped bracelet of yours," said Arthur.
Sagwa did so and her angel wings appeared on her back. She flew up to the plateau where the Krab was looking down from. Sagwa then concentrated her energy into a pink ball and tossed it at the Krab like a baseball. The Krab was hit and it exploded into pieces. Sagwa flew down to the ground and her angel wings disappeared. She ran to the tower.
"Now then," said Arthur, "just enter the tower and deactivate it."
Sagwa looked around the tower's base which was black. The tower itself was connected to large wires like the other towers in the system.
"But how do I enter?" asked Sagwa. "Is there a door?" She placed her hand on the base and it went into the tower. Sagwa pulled it out and then put her whole body into the tower where inside, the walls were covered in light blue screens with 0s and 1s on them. "I guess that'll do."
Sagwa walked onto a platform shaped like the Eye of XANA and stepped onto the center. A white aura surrounded her and Sagwa levitated upward to the top platform. A light blue screen appeared, scaring Sagwa a bit. Curiously, she placed her hand onto the screen and it said SAGWA in Gunship font letters. Then it said CODE and then LYOKO. All of the light blue screens on the tower walls dropped down to the dark abyss below the tower and the aura of the tower changed from red to blue.
"Did she do it?" asked Sheegwa.
"Yep," said Arthur. "She did it. Those monsters in our world should return to their normal selves."
"But you know," said Dongwa, "people are going to remember this forever. I know I will."
"You guys will," said Arthur, "but they won't."
"What do you mean?" asked Sagwa.
"I mean this," said Arthur as he keystroked a code to activate a program. "Return to the past now!"
From the bottom of the tower, a white light shone and became brighter. In the real world, a white pillar of light appeared from the holograph orb and extended into a dome that grew and engulfed the lab, the factory, Nowhere, the Earth and the whole universe.
After less than 30 minute of driving, Franky's car drove into the driveway of the Hermitage.
"Here we are," said Franky, getting out of the car. "Home sweet home."
Arthur got out of car with his stuff and opened the door to let the Miao Siblings out.
"Wait a minute," said Sheegwa. "How did we get back here?"
"I remember Arthur saying 'return to the past now' and-," said Sagwa before realizing something. "Did we really?"
"Yeah, it seems so," said Arthur. "I thought it was crazy but after what I've seen I'll believe anything now."
"I think you have some explaining to do, Arthur," said Dongwa. "I'm confused."
After Arthur set up his stuff in his room, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa lay on his bed while Arthur sat in a chair to explain everything.
"So basically," said Arthur, "the notebook gave me everything I needed to know about how to work the supercomputer. It even told me which virtual template or avatar, as I'd like to put it, was programmed to deactivate towers."
"Now that we know all that," said Sheegwa. "Where's Mama and Baba?"
"I don't know," said Arthur. "But I'll go back to the lab to find them on Lyoko. It's possible that they're still there."
"I hope that they're safe," said Sagwa. "One last thing, how come we remembered the events that just transpired?"
"For you three," begun Arthur, "it's because your DNA was inputted onto the supercomputer memory drive. But as for me, I'm not sure why. That aside, XANA probably won't be attacking Earth for a while. Until then, let's promise to stop him until we find your parents and shut him down."
"Can't we shut off the supercomputer?" asked Dongwa.
"And risk losing our parents?" said Sheegwa. "I don't think so."
"Then its agreed," said Arthur. "We four will become a team to defeat XANA. This is just like my favorite TV show only better."
"Guess we have no choice," said Dongwa. "Besides, fighting has never felt better."
"I really don't want to do this but I'll try my best," said Sagwa. "I really want to save Mama, Baba and the world."
"Just don't run away," said Arthur. "You're the most important member of this group."
And with that, Team Lyoko was formed. However, Arthur, Sagwa, Dongwa and Sheegwa are not aware of what they have gotten themselves into for their adventures have just begun.
