Comings and Goings of Pokemon on the JP Episode Oak's Lab!! T.T

Okay, thought I'd talk about the recent episode in Japan... or the recent dissapointment in Japan. Whichever you like to put it as.

Most of you probably know (as you visit Serebii too):

May now has a Squirtle from Prof. Oak and she has left Beautifly, Skitty and Bulbasaur behind. (Skitty and Beautifly at home, Bulbasaur at Oak's Lab).

Ash has left Torkoal, Glaile and gotten Phanpy from Prof. Oak's.

And of course, Misty has Azurill now, as was revealed in the previous episode.

Max, of course still has nothing. The poor kid. When's his birthday anyway??

And Brock appears at the very end of the episode, so we don't even know what they've done to his team...

Here's just what I have to say:

WTF?! I mean, they go and give May another pokemon that Ash has had?! That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen (no offense to little Squirtle though, it wasn't its fault that it's part of a horrible choice that the writers made)! There are over 300 pokemon, and they go and give her more pokemon that Ash has had?! I'm sorry, but I'm just ticked at that. >_>

Leaving half of May's team behind, not to mention ALL of her contest pokemon, is lame, and the only purpose I could think of it serving is to give her contest pokemon a break until the next Grand Festival.

Ash leaving Torkoal and Glalie I don't mind as much, Torkoal was a cool pokemon, and one of the few with a personality, so I am a bit upset by that. Glalie I'm not a big fan of, so I don't really care either way, though I think it's kinda lame how it was only a part of Ash's team for a short time.

Getting Phanpy is the only thing I really seem to agree with about this. It got little screen time, might get to see its Clefairy friend at Mt. Moon, and thinks of Ash as its parent. I think it deserved more time on Ash's team.

    But... what about Bayleef??

What they should have done (in my opinion ^-^):

Ash's Team: Pikachu, Bayleef, Muk, Phanpy, Cyndaquil, Corphish.

May's Team: Combusken, Beautifly, Skitty, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and one open space. (Munchlax can just be left at... somewhere.)

Ugh... things are just... bleh... I did like Misty's new backpack though. It was a cute Spheal backpack! What do you guys think? New teams good, bad, staying for only a little while??

Meh. Why would Satoshi drop his powerhouse Juptile for Bayleef? o_o; Satoshi's gotta have his powerhouse with him. Bayleef's moves have been done over and over again for ages before AG came into the picture. Not to mention, Bayleef got enough action. Betobeton's good and all, but it's better off staying as a trump card as it always has been. Hinoarashi would be nice to see in more battles, but Satoshi's GOT to have a non-landbased Pok?mon. And Ohsubame's the perfect one for that. Heigani's a definate keeper.

And as for Gonbe..why put it away if she just caught it? Seriously, it'd be pointless to just introduce it, have it not show off its skills in battles, and just toss it aside. o_O; Agehunt's perfect for her mom to take care of since she's loved Agehunt since she's been with Senri. And Eneko's got alot of room to play around in the Gym. Besides..we don't need anymore Super Eneko battles. >_>;; Fushigidane seriously needed to be put away for abit seeing as how Wakashamo got BARELY any airtime since it evolved from Achamo. o_o

Haruka with a Zenigame...that could go places.

I got no objections to the team switching. Anything to see Gomazou get some use - I bet you anything it'll be a Donfan before or during the events of the Battle Frontier. It's a shame to see Kortoise go, though. I love that little dip.

You do have a point, whereas Bayleef has gotten more screen time than Grovyle, I don't agree with you in the area of attacks. You can always teach an old pokemon a new and different attack, and the anime has shown more of an interest of teaching pokemon attacks in the last season. Though you know what, I doubt the writers would ever think of anything like that to do. >_<

And you know, I just don't see the point of May leaving over half of her pokemon other places. I mean, I know they've gotten plently of screen time, but they could most definitely use some character development (well, at least Beautifly could).

Hm... I guess I'm just one of those people that hate seeing their favorites go. Heck, I'm still sad about seeing Squirtle leave! *brick*

That was hillarious. Hm I really don't have any objections either to team switching but yeah, May should've kept her pokemon maybe a little longer. >_> Oh yeah, maybe that kid should go to Professor Oak's and get a pokemon soon enough.
