4th Gen Compatibility Problem - Help Me!

Well, since D/P is bound to be released in UK before Australia, I am going to send my nan some money and ask her to buy it for me (so I can get it earlier).

My little brother wants to wait until it is released here (Australia) so he can buy it here.

My question is Can we trade and battle still (Is the game you buy in the UK compatible with an Australian one?)

i dont have a wireless router or whatever for wi-fi but by wi-fi does that include if we are sitting in the same room and trading (can you do that?)

im a bit noob at this sorry seeing as i dont have a ds yet (will get one soon though)

I suppose the question is Can we trade sitting in the same room with just DSes and no extra hardware etc.? Does that classify as Wi-Fi? If so, then that means the answer to my first question is Yes and I will get the game from UK. If it is No, then I will have to wait until it comes out here (otherwise I can't trade)

yes you can, nintendo ds has the wireless connetion just for 10metres just like mobile phones bluetooth.
