With the DS cart format now released, it seems as if the quality of carts is changing. Obviously in the past with the GBC series, the data was put to the test of time and the carts began to die. Saving just wasn't possible nor was holding a save once the function failed.
So with that said, Are you concerned that your cartridges that you spent so much time on, may very well end up in the trash as well? Is the DS format as durable as it seems?
All I know is, my silver/gold and crystal versions have all died and some point in time. I take care of my games as if they are made of rice paper, so they shouldn't fail due to user's care. I just hope my FR/LG & R/S/E copies don't fall to the fatal end that is cartridge failure. O_O
