I'm not sure I translated it right, but I think this says something like this; After you do something on the game (probably beat the League or sth) you can contact with old Pokemon Games Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen and trade. After this I can't really understand but I think it says that the world is spreading or something... What is that supposed to mean? :/ Probably there are more things to do except trading which had already been announced... Could anyone used to japanese translate it better?

You know I can't read it so stop teasing me.

Maybe it means you can visit the old regions in D/P?

When a certain condition in the game is satisfied, [gemu]? [muboiadobansu] edition "[poketsutomo] 㠠?? Star" series (ruby sapphire [huaiaretsudo] [rihugurimu]? [n] emerald) [pokemon], [nintenmu]? - Using the double slot of DS, "[mu]? To the [iyamondo] pearl" 㠠 which it keeps accompanying?? With is possible. You gather [pokemon] many, oppose with new [pokemon] and/or are? The new world to be spreading steadily

We already know that Diamond and Pearl can trade with the GBA games.

Yeah I know we know it. :P I'm talking about the "Spreading the world steadily" part. I wonder what does that supposed to mean..

They probably mean you're spreading the regions by trading pokemon from the regions to other ones.

...... it could be that because I don't think that they will make 3D maps of Kanto, Johto and Houen.

I cleaned that up somewhat (thanks, hamir) and came up with this.

"When a certain condition in the game is satisfied, you can interact with Pokemon games from the Advance generation (Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald), using the 2 slots of the Nintendo DS. You can trade for and battle with many new Pokemon! The new world opens up to you..." Analyze that. =P

Remember the DS does have a second slot for playing GBA games, so you can stick your Advance cart in the second slot and connect that way.

I doubt the GBA games will be forward compatible, but it's nice to see the DS games having backwards capability, so you're not wasting all your time filling your Pokedex etc now.

I do wonder about the possibilities of adding access to new/old regions though. I'm not completely up on the memory capabilities of the DS games, but it's bigger than the GBA games I believe, so if you can fit more than what they managed to cram into something like Emerald (which is a lot, if you figure in the Battle Frontier), this rumour could have merit.

    what does this mean then?
Does this mean we be able to visit the old regions in pokemon p/d.

Potentially, although nothing's been confirmed yet. It is possible, I do believe.

Anything is possible. But I do hope that they allow all 4 regions, especially if this is going to be the last generation of pokemon games. Perhaps they have another surprise in the games (that takes up alot of space) waiting for us.

Eeeh, 4 regions would be bit a weird, It would be fun, bu to make the game that long they would have to cut other things to make it fit.
