According to the company, the pet food was distributed to stores in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Vermont, and Virginia.

The FDA said some of the recalled product had been exported to at least 29 countries, including several in the European Union. Those countries have been notified, the agency said.

Be on the lookout for Diamond pet food - go check your dogs food right now so you don't lose him/her.

Thought I would point this out so no one loses their best friend. I'm glad this product wasn't sold in Texas.

Everyone be on the lookout. Stop using that brand of dog food even after this incident - as it could happen again.

I think it's really sad that people are losing their best friends - it's so messed up. These companies need to be checking the food for these diseases and toxins and anything harmful to our pets.

    Hmm...check snopes.com. This could be a hoax.

Even if the food was contaminated, how are we supposed to be able to tell?
