3rd Gen Contest Disscusion

I think this should be sticky since, it is another major part of Pokemon R/S/E, also this can cut down on many threads pertaining Contest. Also bringing your top Pokemon from each cateogory to D/P and show off their real skills

Okay I shall begin, do you use scarfs to enchant your condition?

i only beat the master rank in beuty with my chrystal (whiscash)
i dont tend to beat all the ranks because i havent ebough pokeblocks
and too lazy to blend some more

my Milotic has one all beuty contests but master class I tried using a scarf but it didnt help

I have beat the cool contest master rank with murkrow, the cute contest master rank with barboach, and the beauty contest master rank with castform. I don't use scarfs usually because I only realize I can use them after I have already won. Is there any recommendation for a pokemon for the smart contest with a good moveset?

if you get defeated in R/S/E contest wait until you get to the D/P Super contest, its 4X harder

Are you referring to 4 pokemon that you could use in R/S/E for contests and then send to D/P, or just for the D/P contests? If it's R/S/E contests then I could tell you Pokemon with movesets for cool, smart, and cute, but I have yet to beat tough. I think I'm going to use aron/lairon/aggron for that, though (harden/take down?).

(none of these moves are smart, but they do the job. The Pokeblocks I used on Feebas gave him high beauty and smartness, and with refresh you don't need the crowd)

I usually don't need the fourth move in the moveset. I don't know what you mean by condition, so I can't really say about that. And if you didn't really need this, then maybe someone else can use it. I haven't played D/P yet, so I don't know about those contests.

Yea these POkemon are for D/P super contest and I have a whole bunch of Pokeblock in my emerald version I want to get POkemon from there

DP Contests seem to be easier, it's all straightforward! Anyway, my Emerald has (actually, WILL HAVE) a Dragonite who will win all five contests (even a Tyranitar could do) and even strike fear in the hearts of deadly enemies in battle.

Dragonite @Whatever scarf it needs
Nature: Quiet (-Speed, +Sp. Atk)
Substitute
Focus Punch
Thunderpunch
Ice Punch

Familiar? Yeah, that's the pseudo BOAHNite. Thunderpunch (Cool) and Ice Punch (Beauty) make a nice combo when used together, and isn't Subpunch a deadly thing in battle? As Smart, Substitute prevents you from being startled once, and Focus Punch (Tough) makes you appeal last, giving a nice way for Thunder or Ice Punching without being disturbed.

This set could actually be used on any Pokemon who can use all four moves, such as Tyranitar or any of the three Regindaries. It just takes really good Conditions in all five fields and wise planning to win, not to mention luck, which is as always a component in the games. Hope this helps.

My Milotic just DESTROYED the Master's Beauty class. Gardevoir owned the Master Smart Contest, Sceptile for Master Cool and Tough Metagross for the win in Toughness.

I've completed each Master Rank Contests at least once (on sapphire version, I haven't entered any on emerald yet), and I tend to use scarves. Maxing out one condition and using a scarf helps quite a bit, I think so anyway. :)
