I don't know if this goes in the right threads but I do need help with how to get all my pokemon to master rank levels. It would be helpful if some people named a pokemon and what moves they have that can get me there and what kind of pokeblocks I need and stuff like that.

Uh... I had a Pikachu with a Naughty Nature that won the Cool Master Rank no problem. Here:

    Pikachu (Naughty Nature) @Red Scarf
    -Shock Wave
    -Double Team
    -Agility
    -Thunderbolt

Shock Wave works better if you go first...

I hope this helps. I'm not great with contests. -___-

Lol, i'll try it out. Thank you so much, you were the only person KIND ENOUGH to respond to this.

I think this would rather belong in the R/S/E section of the other forum, but since you've asked some movesets, I'll just leave this thread here.

Well, I can't post pokeblocks because I'm not very sure about those, but maybe the pokemons, natures, winning movesets I'll post will help you.
I'm sure these work since I tried them out, so here goes:

For though master rank contest, try:

    Aggron@Yellow Scarf
    Take Down
    Harden
(it basically needs only these 2 moves to win the contest so just use these)
Natures: Bold, Impish (works the best from these natures for him), Lax, Relaxed.

For cool master rank contest, try:

    Medicham@Red Scarf
    Hi-Jump Kick
    Mind Reader
    (same with Aggron)
Natures: Lonely, Adamant (probably the best choice), Naughty, Brave.

For beauty master rank contest, try:

Any Fire pokemon that can learn the moves below@Blue Scarf
    Overheat
    Sunny Day
    (same with Aggron and Medicham)
You can also try a Milotic here with Rain Dance and Hydro Pump.
Natures: Modest (this works really well), Mild, Rash, Quiet.

For smart master rank contest, try:

    Hariyama@Green Scarf
    Belly Drum
    Bulk Up
    Secret Power
    Rock Smash

Natures: Calm(the best choice), Gentle, Careful, Sassy.

Comments: use belly drum the first turn, bulk up for next one, bd for third one, rock smash for 4th one and secret power for the 5th turn. It might not work all the time, though if you have luck you'll win the contest with this moveset.

I'm not sure about what pokemon and moveset you should use for the cute master rank contest though. Hopefully you'll find it out or someone can post some advice for that one.

Well, hope this will help you and good luck with the contests!

Thanks. Is there any alternative way to getting a scarf from someone else besides that guy in slateport? He never says my pokemon are good enough or whatever. Which is pretty weird...

You need to give the max number of pokeblocks to a pokemon which you'll have to put at the top of your list before you talk to that man. The pokeblocks have to be made of no ordinary berry like pecha, chesto, etc. so it won't be really easy to get those items. Of course you can win without them, too just that it will be harder and those scarfs are the best hold items for contest pokemons. I don't think you can get the scarfs any other way than trying to get them from Slateport, so go, collect some berries, make some pokeblocks and give them to your pokemon.

For the Berries you should go see the berry master on route 123, he'll give you two random rare berries each day. For the classier berries I recall Kelpsy, Cornn and Hondew are good for Beauty/Intelligence increasing pok?blocks. Rabuta is good for Bitter and Sour Pok?blocks (Don't know which one it's better suited for). Tamato is among the best for coolness and Grepa makes for good sour ones. These aren't the *very* best ones but you get them fairly easily if you search the areas with care, and if you're good enough with the berry blender the best ones shouldn't be necessary to win. For the contests the ideal moveset is one with an appeal combo of the contest's type, but I succeeded fairly well with this one:

    Skarmory
    Adamant
    Aerial Ace
    Steel Wing
    Fly
    Agility

If you're first Aerial Ace is worth a lot and Agility ensures that you get that first place on your next turn. The only reason I didn't achieve Master rank with this one was that I had fed it too low quality Pok?blocks. The contests were more of a diversion for me so I picked the moves based on their usefullness for combat and exploration. Another good contest Pok?mon (At least for Beauty contests) is Milotic since it requires such a high Beauty stat to begin with, almost all of the moves that it learns fall into the Beauty and Cuteness categories too.

Alright thanks for both of your advice. I just hope I know what pokeblocks to give to who and such because I really don't know whats best for them. Is there like any chart or something where it shows what berry + what other berries could make into a pokeblock or something?

What Pok?block you get only depends on what berry you use, the others are just there for the sake of appearance. I think the same goes for the linked blending (Each one gets a pok?block from the berry they put in). After all, it wouldn't be very fair if you put in an extremly rare berry but ended up with a completely worthless Pok?block just because your partener couldn't be bothered ti contribute more than an Oran, would it? The efficiency of your Pok?blocks also depends on how much the recieving Pok?mon likes them, which in turn is dictated by their nature. For a full ist of natures and their likes/dislikes I'd recommend this Site

Maybe because this is in the wrong section of the forums? I dunno, that just seems like logic talking.

This is a question that only applies for RuSaEm games, only applies to in-game (since there are no contest tourneys I'm aware of in existance), and you haven't posted a moveset (which is what this forum is for- moveset and team building/rating).

For good movesets for contests, it's a matter of knowing which nature likes what pokeblock (obv. depending on the contest you want to enter), which scarf helps that nature after you've built it up (aka- go to the pokemon fan club after you've built up the contest stat w/ the built up pokemon in front), and then knowing the contest combos that are applicable to what stat you've raised. Lists are abundantly available, although Serebii.net has pokemon of the day/week listings that have recomended contest movesets for rated pokemon and there's also probably a contest combo list in their RuSa guide section.

This is what I won Cool contests with, even at Master level.
    Swellow@Red Scarf
    Adamant nature
    AA
    Wing Attack
    Quick Attack
    Fly
    Pokeblocks? Red, of course!
How to get a Red Scarf:
Increase Swellow's Coolness to a high level.
    Go to Slateport City.
Talk to the Pokemon Fan Club Chairman with Swellow as your leader.
He will give you a Red Scarf.
    It makes Swellow even cooler.

Thanks dude, do you know what berries make red pokeblocks?

If you check the tag of a berry, it will tell you what flavors(Spicy, Dry, Sour, Sweet, Bitter) the berry is. You want ones that are Spicy. Spicy and anything will work, so long as it is spicy. It may give you different colors, but the Pokeblock will still be spicy. Cheri, Figy, Pinap, and Qualot are spicy, and some others are as well.

ok ANYONE i gt something better then a pokemon and mves i got combos do you want them just let me know PM me and i wll send em' to you
