This is another "guess the Pok?mon" game. But this game is different than the others.
In this game, the Pok?mon that is to be guessed lies in a cryptic crossword clue.
If you are not familiar with cryptic crosswords, Wikipedia has a very good explanation - much more so than I could give you.
Since Pok?mon are a little hard to define, the definitions themselves will often be a hint to a Pok?mon's behavior, appearance (physical and in the TV series), type, or Pok?dex order.
Here's an example of a clue and analysis:
Spine cord clutches an explosive thing (6)
The (6) indicates it's a 6-letter answer.
The word "clutches" indicates something hidden.
"Explosive thing" is the definition.
The answer is thus Pineco; it is found within "spine cord", and it does have a tendency to explode.
For some people, this might be very hard. So, I have designed a scoring system. We will start with 15 points for a clue. You can ask for a hint at the clue, but it will cost you a point each time. Whoever guesses the clue first is awarded ALL the remaining points of a clue. When there are only five points left, I will give full analysis of the clue but not the answer itself.
Now, then, here is the first clue:
Provide pastry for the first bug in line (8)
What is this Pok?mon? You have 15 points left.
