What did you think about Pokemon Crystal introducing animated sprites? Do you think they would have been better off left static? Are there some animated sprites that you like/dislike more than others? How do you think the animations compare to those found in Emerald and Gen IV sprites?
Personally, I think most of the animations for the sprites look great. I actually like the animation styles better than Emerald and Gen IV because the newer animations are just basic 2-frame animations with an extra effect or two added. Crystal's animations, however, show much more movement and are more appealing to me. This especially applies to the animations for Mewtwo and Mew, which while they are more basic, the flash effect of them looks awesome.
