Cube World is a Voxel-based adventure RPG baring a lot of similarities to the popular Sandbox game Minecraft. Even though it just looks like just a cheap ripoff at first glance, the only real similarity is the graphic type, being voxels. This game been getting quite a bit of fame lately, so I thought I'd start a discussion to see what you guys think of it.
One of the most exciting things about this game is the enormous landscape and progression. It works like a bit like Minecraft does; when you reach the edge of a biome, it will load the next one, resulting in an infinitely wide world. There are dungeons all across the landscape to explore; some much more extreme then others, as well as free-roaming gigantic bosses. The infinite RPG progression means that in Cube World, there is no level cap. You level up forever while using a unique system that allows you to always have balanced power.
Finally, the weapon and armor customization. You get blocks like Wood, Iron, Gold, etc. and you stick them onto your weapon so that yours can look uniquely different from every other persons. Special blocks are also available, and you attain them from bosses. They consist of elements such as fire, ice, wind, etc.
So, in summary, Cube World is an adventure RPG that uses unique elements that haven't been showcased before. If you want to go more in depth in the game, I linked the website, its in a very early alpha stage and standing for only about $20. What do you guys think? Is it worth the buy, and why or why not?
