+ D/P heroine fanart -- updated~ +

Yes~ I love the new D/P heroine, so I decided to draw a little fanart of her...get used to her character design. I have a feeling this isn't the last picture I'll draw of her, she's so cute! <3

Comments and critique appreciated! X3 I probably got a few things wrong with her design.
[Done in about an hour or so, in Shi Painter {oekaki}.]

I second that notion whole-heartedly. ^^ Although I still maintain that she'd look cuter if she ditched the hat. xP

Anways, about the picture itself...I love it. You did an excellent job on the body proportions and expression, the latter making her look slightly cuter than in the official illustration, actually. ^^ The only criticism I can think of is her hair colour, if you look at the official piccies it should be a dark shade of purple as opposed to a dark shade of blue like this one has. So yeah. Still...that colour looks fine too so I can't exactly call it a bad point, can I? Meh, maybe it's the subject herself intercepting my critical thinking. xD

Regardless, I look forward to seeing more of your art. ^^

I noticed that after I'd colored it. x_x In the reference I used [which was a picture in someone's sig, actually], her hair was more of a dark blue than a purple...I guess it's my fault for not seeking out the actual CoroCoro scan to use as a reference, eh?

Heh...anywho. First of all I just want to say that I love this piece. Especially the eyes and hair. They just look so vibrant. The only thing I could pick out, and this could just be me, is that the head looks too big. o.O It's mostly the hat area, but to me it just seems like she has a massive forehead. Ehh...other than that, beautiful!! XD

Hm, well, her forehead goes up to about the markings on her cap, but I drew this to make it look like it wasn't pulled down all the way...I suppose it does look like she has a big head, though, doesn't it?


Oh, and...earlier, I drew another little pic of her, on the PC oekaki. In this one, I fixed her hair to the proper color and fixed the placement of the gap in the little Pokeball decoration...It still bothers me that I messed those up at first, but oh, well. XD

And the moral of the story is...secondary sources suck. xD

Anyways, another piccie this fast? Heh, such productivity...and to think that I needed about eight hours of work to put together a halfway decent pixel art Dunsparce...-.-

That aside, this pic is great also, but I've got two pieces of critcism. First off, those few stray strands of hair in the lower left side of the picture (the ones curling upwards) could maybe use some tweaking. The uppermost ones seem like an afterthought and look a bit haphazard compared to the rest. It's a nitpick, sure, but I thought I should mention it. Secondly, though, her head seems to be bent into a bit of an awkward angle. If you look at the way the rest of her body is situated I'd say that her neck is bent in roughly a 40 degrees' turn, which, while not yet physiologically impossible, is a pretty painful position to be in. If the torso was turned just a bit counter-clockwise it would look a bit more natural, I think. That could just be me, though. That aside, the rest of the pic looks just fine and dandy. ^^

I feel that these pictures of your female character is quite good. It has to be one of the best drawings I have seen in these galleries all day. I really don't have much critism to give, other then try making the shading blend in better with the skin.

Wow what a spectacular style you have. I like the intricate detail and adore the higlighting! She's a great character! I can just picture amongst all the other heros/heroines ^-^

I still think the FR/LG heroine is cuter,but Pearl is just as kawaii IMO <3

As for the art,this is spectacular <3 I love the shading,and the expressions are just kawaii <3
