    The new names of Shinji and Hikari... Dawn and Paul. Never saw that one coming...
     
    I liked Hikari better. Dawn keeps reminding me of Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn.

    No opinion on Paul.
     
    Paul is a fat name. IMO, the names obviously symbolize Diamond and Pearl (Dawn and Paul.) I really don't like them to be honest.
     
    Paul is to common.

    Dawn is alright, May and Brenden arnt common and Red, Blue, Green, Gold, Silver and Crystal arent.
     
    We already have a discussion thread about those two names in the Pokémon TV Show forum, which is definitely the better place, since the character names for the games have not been announced yet.
