Summary: A new deck I'm making to address the updated modified legal requirements. This deck is designed to use Metagross's Gravitation pokebody as a means to optimize the strongpoints of Tyranitar Prime. T-Tar prime has a lot of HP, so the -20 HP penalty is going to hurt T-Tar a lot less than most other pokemon. What this also does is make Darkness Howl and Power Claw more dangerous. With the 4 Special Dark energy and Gravitation in effect, Power Claw can one shot almost any stage 2, making Megaton tail and it's 3 card discard virtually unnecessary. More importantly, since Power Claw's damage ignores any effects, there's not a damn thing the opponent can do about it either. Darkness Howl paired with Gravitation can mop up lightweight or even midweight pokemon in a couple turns, allowing me to secure a quick prize card lead. Special metal and Bench Shields are used to prevent Darkness Howl from hurting me, and it also prevents bench sniping from most decks. Bronzong with Wide Laser is used as a secondary to soften up the opponent if for whatever reason T-Tar is taking too long to set up. What's nice about this deck is that I only need one energy to start doing damage, so the lack of a guaranteed means of acquiring energy lost with Rosanne's cycling out is less of a problem than it might be. Stadiums are there not only to speed up the deck, but also to trigger Metagross's bench sniping ability, which is mostly used against fighting or dark decks, or as a backup if T-Tar dies.

I believe someone already corrected you in this so I am likely wasting my time but...

Excess energy is a luxury, clutter, and a safety cushion for new and inexperienced players. Straight up. There are some decks that have done well with 5. Now granted you need pokemon that run on very little energy for that, but that's the point. Trainers are used to get what you need immediately, including energy. With something like Rosanne's Research or Cyrus's Conspiracy, you can get enough energy to do what you need on your turn and set up for future turns. Cluttering a deck with energies can get your energy swamped. If that happens you're already dead.

Also, quick general update. I've made a few changes to the overall layout. Those will be up in the original post.
