Deciding which pokemon game to get.

My friend and I are age 17 and 20 and we still play the pokemon RPGs (except Collosum and XD which we both believe failed hard). When a new one comes out, we usually buy it. When Ruby/sapphire came out, she got sapphire and I got it a little later. When FireRed and Leaf Green came out, I got FR and she planned on getting LG. When Diamond and Pearl come out She said she plans on getting Diamond which means I should get Pearl. But there's one thing about when she buys the games. She bases he decision on what color the game is. She says she likes blue so She only bought Sapphire. When FR and LG came out she said she'd buy LG cuz it's like the original Blue version but never bought it. And she didin't bother with emerald cuz she said it wasn't blue. She's getting Diamond becuase she says the Legendary in the game is blue. I don't think this is a smart way to buy the pokemon games. I myself buy them on whichever catches my attention or whichever is the opposite of what a friend has so we can trade.


How do you decide on which color Pokemon game to buy?

It depends on which Pokemon are and aren't available to catch in the game.

I decide on what color it is, but only a little. I was going to get sapphire but the game stop guy only had emerald which then changed the way how i got games. Now i get games based on the Pokemon, and the game play, and other things. Since i don't really have friends i just get the one i want period. I would suggest going on seribii to get the full synopsis of what game you should get.

If I can, I prefer to choose based on what pokemon are available and if not, i talk to a friend of mine and we choose which one each of us will get. I'm due to talk to her, but shes does tertiory education now whichs makes it difficult to contact her, so I might have to choose without that help.

I usually get the least popular of two games. Of the 4th generation games, Pearl is the least popular of the two, so... yeah! XD

I buy both of them or which ever Pokemon game comes out. I have the money for it all the time

Me and my brother use a color system as well. My brother usually gets the red colored cartridge while I got the blue. The only exception was with FR/LG because green was my brother's favorite color, so he got green while I got red. I don't mind because red happen to be my favorite color.
