You... don't have much. You could try T2 Whiscash, I guess, but you still need a heap more cards. Where do you live? If you're in Melbourne I can probably help you out. Try and trade for some better cards.

One of the Melbourne players was considering a Blastoise d/Whiscash deck. It would probably get you by, but you'll need a few more Pokemon and a bunch of Trainers. If you're interested in that I can make up a list for you.

i do live in melbourne. well 45km away from it. i made a blastoise/whiscash deck. i took it apart when i got new cards. actually i wrecked it becauase i put a golem in it.

You'd need more Blastoise for it though. You'll want to run maybe 4-3-4 with 3 Blastoise d and 1 Blastoise, and you need more Candies.

And since you don't have many - you might as well add ALL your trainers into that deck- with the exception of the Energy Searches and maybe a potion.

You'll need a few extra cards for this but you should be able to get them by trading. (Heck, I can probably trade them to you if you come to league sometime, or the Power Keepers prerelease.) Quick list:

    Pokémon (19)

    4 Squirtle CG (Solid Shell)
    3 Wartortle CG (Bubble)
    3 Blastoise d CG
    1 Blastoise CG
3 Barboach DX (Amnesia > Flail)
2 Whiscash DX (provided you have enough energy you'll always do at least 40 damage)
    1 Whiscash HP
    2 Dunsparce LM (starters)

    Trainers (22)

4 Celio's Network (you're not playing exs so these are good)
2 Mr. Stone's Project (most of your energy is basic)
    1 Copycat
    2 Rare Candy
3 Warp Point (use Switches if you can't get Warp Points, but WP >>> Switch IMO)
3 TV Reporter (use your Bill's if you can't get TVRs, but they were reprinted in DF so shouldn't be too hard to get at the moment; try to avoid using Fieldworkers)
4 Cursed Stone (you might have trouble getting these but they will be very very useful to you since you only have Bodies and not Powers)
    2 Crystal Shard
    1 Holon Farmer

    Energy (19)

8 Fighting Energy (most of your Pokémon use it to attack)
3 Water Energy (mainly for Wartortle and/or Blastoise, but also to pay for colourless attacks)
3 Metal Energy (Blastoise d needs one and they can be used for colourless otherwise)
    1 Heal Energy (always useful)
2 Scramble Energy (if your Whiscashes get KOed early whack these on the Blastoises)

Not the best list by any means but one it shouldn't be too hard for you to build. OK, jwilso72, your turn. Rip my list apart. :)

Hehe thanks.. I would but there's not really much I could do to improve it. ;)

Maybe use 2-2 on the Blastoises. 3 Metal (and 2 Scrambles) seems a bit risque to depend skull bash on or possibly the use of the good old Holons dudes (helped with Celio).
I've always wanted to use Whishcash since they're cheap and I have a few. Still haven't a clue how to use the damn thing :( Energy Roots, Gold Berries or something seem to benefit it...maybe.

Nice solid list though (especially the trainers) - only slight downside is the lack of being able to do big damage, but that's the Pokemons fault. Me likey :D

Sorry Flame Healer dude, doesn't really seem like much going for your latest addition of cards though. :(

well that's actually why i didn't post it up in the first place. there are no solid cards. I'm thinking of selling my cards but I don't know because i can only go to card shops when my parents can be bothered takig me there which is like never so i just try my luck at Pokemon Booster packs which i'm sure Pochama hates as well. I don't pull much out from my boosters. although my luck has changed recently. could somebody tell me a good deck i could make around a Venasaur because I'm thinking of buying some Decks/Boosters/individual cards
(the next time my friend goes to the card shop/if i don't go first that is).

I was thinking maybe 4-4-4 line so that it would be faster. The good thing is i have a lot of options as they're only weak to Fire/my favourite pokemon. If that is the only way i can win i'll do it. If i have enough rare candies maybe I'll make a 4-2-4 formation. if i don't have 2 or more i'll just make a 4-4-2.

You said you live near Melbourne - we have an active league at Card Heaven in Windsor that meets on a Sunday. If you PM me I'll send you details. Maybe you could ask your parents to take you there one week (let me know beforehand); if you can, then I'll help you with your deck, and I have most of the cards you need for that list if you want to trade for them/buy them.

As for a Venusaur deck, a friend plays a fairly nice Venusaur/Meganium ex deck, but if you want a cheap deck then you probably don't want the exs. From what you said there, it sounds like you want to buy theme decks and use the Venusaurs from them - if so, then don't get CG theme decks, get the DF ones. Either would be acceptable, the Feraligatr from one is a very very good deck card (I'd probably recommend this) and the Typhlosion and Arbok from the other are both excellent.

I went to a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament at Card Heaven. I never knew they had Pokemon tournaments there. It is next to the supermarket.

I haven't seen any DF theme decks but I have seen the boosters. I bought 4 of them. What is the release date for Power Keeper? Oh and is there really an Arbok/Typhloshion deck. Which is better? Typhlosion or Venusaur or maybe Feraligatr.

Card Heaven Pokemon league is at 12 noon every Sunday and costs $5 to enter (you get a free booster). I'll be there this Sunday if you want to come along (ask for Jedi_Amara rather than Pochama if you come and want to know who I am, the older kids all know me). You've just missed our City Championships, but there will be more tournaments in a couple of months, plus Nationals this year is in Melbourne. If you'd like to come along and play it'd be awesome, you're 11 so you'd be in Seniors and we need more players in that age division (we only have two, so they had to play down in age at Cities).

CH has the theme decks if you can't find them elsewhere; I'd say go the Typhlosion deck since the current local metagame has quite a bit of psychic weakness, though the Feraligatr one isn't bad either. I'd steer clear of the CG ones if I were you, they're not great.

If you want my opinion, I suggest you try and go to Prerelease for Power Keepers, you get 10 boosters at a really good price along with other goodies as well as the chance to trade for some decent things.

Power Keepers is expected to have many reprinted cards in, so people would be happy to trade away many cards that they already have for good deals (for you) ;)

Prerelease is a good idea (though we only get 7 boosters now - 6 + 1 - unless we win). Ours is on Feb 11, if you want to come along, Flame Healer. PM me for details if you like.
