Designing a new team in Platinum.

I've gotten up to Snowpoint in Platinum and suddenly realized... my team is not what I thought it would be, and I don't like it in the slightest. Therefore, I am going to completely revamp before I get my seventh badge.

I have an affinity for Ghost, Psychic, Dark, and Steel types, so those were given priority in early stages of team planning. Once I have a Pokemon set selected, the moveset will be more seriously considered than, "Oh noes! Who's going to fly? Who's going to surf?"

Anyhow, here's what I have so far. Assume levels close to level 40, unless specifically stated.
Do note, I do NOT have most of these Pokemon.

    Empoleon
    Timid/Mild*
    Torrent
    -Surf
    -Grass Knot
    -Flash Cannon
-Agility/Ice Beam? [Leaning away from this move due to Froslass]
*If I use my starter, it will have a Mild nature and currently is at lv. 39. I will revamp his moveset, though, so suggestions are welcome.

    Murkrow
    Adamant
    Insomnia/Super Luck
    -Fly
    -Roost
    -Night Slash
    -Superpower? [if so, after E4]

    Froslass

    Modest
    Snow Cloak
    -Ice Beam
    -Confuse Ray
    -Psychic
    -Thunderbolt

    Gallade

    Nature undecided
    Steadfast
    -Magical Leaf
    -Psycho Cut
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat [Once lv. 53]

And either of the following for slot 5:

Lv. 39 Absol [currently on team]
    Lonely
    Super Luck
    -Night Slash
    -Psycho Cut [Once lv. 60]
    -Rock Slide
    -Swords Dance?
*The only reason Swords Dance is questionable is that I'm an impulsive individual who never seems to bother with stats once in battle.

    Drapion
    Jolly/Impish/Adamant
    Battle Armor/Sniper
-Poison Fang [Until lv. 58, then Cross Poison]
    -Thunder Fang
    -Fire Fang
    -Ice Fang?

As for slot number 6, I need some suggestions.

I can help you out with movesets. My comments and suggestions will be in BOLD.

    Empoleon
    Timid/Mild*
    Torrent
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Grass Knot
    -Flash Cannon/Agility
*If I use my starter, it will have a Mild nature and currently is at lv. 39. I will revamp his moveset, though, so suggestions are welcome.

Earthquake isn't a very good choice with a Mild nature, as it's a phsyical attack, and Mild boosts your SpAtk. Ice Beam hits dragons and Grass Knot hits water types that wall this set. Flash Cannon is a secondary STAB, or you can boost speed with Agility.

    Murkrow
    Adamant
    Insomnia/Super Luck
    -Fly
    -Roost
    -Night Slash
    -Superpower

I highly recommend evolving Murkrow once you get your hands on a Dusk Stone, and use the given moveset. Night Slash and Fly are decent enough STAB moves, and Superpower hits Steel types. Roost can heal damage. Keep in mind Superpower is a move tutor move.

    Froslass
    Modest
    Snow Cloak
    -Ice Beam
    -Confuse Ray
    -Thunderbolt
    -Psychic/Water Pulse

With a Modest nature, special attacks work better than Physical attacks, so Ice Beam > Ice Fang. Ice + Electric gives excellent type coverage, and use either Water Pulse to hit your Fire and Rock weakness, or Psychic as another option.

    Gallade
    Adamant/Jolly
    Steadfast
    -Magical Leaf
    -Psycho Cut
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat

Swords Dance for stat boosting, and use Close Combat as an additional STAB. Either an Adamant or Jolly nature would be best with this moveset.

And either of the following for slot 5:
Lv. 39 Absol [currently on team]
    Lonely
    Super Luck
    -Night Slash
    -Swords Dance
    -Psycho Cut
    -Thunder Wave/Stone Edge/Rock Slide

Again, Swords Dance to boost your stats, and Psycho Cut for additional coverage. Either use Thunder Wave, Stone Edge or Rock Slide in the last slot. Stone Edge is more powerfu, but Rock Slide is more accurate. Thunder Wave gives you more of an opportunity to set up with Swords Dance.

    Drapion
    Jolly/Impish/Adamant
    Battle Armor/Sniper
    -Cross Poison
    -Ice Fang
    -Thunder Fang
    -Fire Fang

Cross Poison is more accurate than Poison Fang, but the other Elemental Fangs give excellent coverage against other types.

    Hope that helped.

Thanks for the advice! I have to admit, I'm terrible at movesets, which just makes me all the more thankful for people like you.
Now to edit in my changes based on what you suggested and what is reasonably easy to get. :D
