yeah,do you think I'd let me secrets go un-told?

So,here are the tips I used for every pokemon game i've played(execpt pokemon ranger of course)

1.ALWAYS KEEP YOUR POKEMON IN A WELL BALANCED MANNER!

The number 1 tip i always use all the time.

example:lets say there's this kid with his level 100 starter. He's fighting the champ, and his pokemon faints. He has no revives what so ever. The rest of his pokemon are level 20-30.xxx

    as explained by non-noobs: phail!

You never want that to happen to you.

Here is an example of a well balanced team(not mine, just made up):

    Empoleon(lv 56)
    Staraptor (lv 55)
    Floatzel(lv 55)
    Roserade(lv 54)
    Drapion(lv 55)
    Luxray(lv 54)

    2.BE PREPARED

    almost everyone should know this.

It is important to carry items such as:

    • Revives or max revives
    • hyper potions(mostly)
    • full heals
    • full restores
    • battle items(If your pokemon are weak)
Here is an example of what happens if you do not follow this rule

EXAMPLE:Captain phail(the kid we talked about earlier)Has his lv 100 pokemon. He fights the champ, and his pokemon is low in hp.OPPS! he has no hyper potions.

For gym leaders, you should have 5 hyper potions and full heals.

For the elite 4 you should have at least 25 of hyper potions, and battle items,15 full heals, and at least 5-10 full restores.

3.MOVES LIKE LEER AND GROWL HELP SOMETIMES!

These moves can help when you are in a pinch.

example: I'm fighting a gym leader the other day,and she brings out her lucario.I bring out my luxio and use leer a few times. Then I use spark and it's critical(who knew?)Thanks to leer, lucario's defence lowered so my attack moves become stronger, and not to mention i got the cobble badge.

    4.BATTLE EVERY TRAINER YOU SEE!!

this is also a must I follow.

You shouldn't be avoiding trainers like a ninja, because they are there for a reason. So you can battle and get more experience.Trust me,it helps.

    ___________

there you have it,4 simple tips on making you a better pokemon trainer.

    Hope it helps ;)

    wait just a minute...

No offence, but these are all common sense. It'd be suicidal to only train up one Pokémon and go to face the Elite Four (Unless of course said Pokémon is a Mewtwo, is Lv 100 or has a highly varied move set and can hold its own against most types). Likewise, it's not a great idea to go into a battle without at least a few Revives/Full Heals/Hyper Potions etc.

And also, I wouldn't personally opt for moves like Growl and Leer when you can learn more effective moves and even TMs that could sway a battle in your favour.
