Diamond Battle Tower

I am attempting to win 100 battles in the Battle Tower to gain a star, however I have been unsucessful so far. My best attempt was up until battle 42 which I lost. I nearlly got there again however my game froze and I had to start over. :(

Anyways here is my team:

Starmie @ Expert Belt
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

Dragonite @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
- Extreamspeed
- Fire Punch
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Starmie + Gengar are EV trained in Sp.Attack and Speed, and Dragonite is trained in Attack and Speed. I do not breed or hack for IV's so I don't have a clue what they are.

I'm not really looking for someone to build me a team for the Battle Tower, I just want feedback on this team. It's faults etc..

I myself am thinking of replacing Grass Knot for Psychic on Starmie and Focus Blast for Explosion on Gengar.

Any feedback?

To me, it looks like you're team is too fragile, with only Dragonite really being able to take a hit. Maybe consider dropping Starmie for a Lapras, or something with higher hp, defense, and sp. defense? Because it'd be helpful to have someone who can wall for a little while.
