Differences between the first two main games and the third one

Hi,

The other day, I remembered of an interesting subject to be discussed here, although im not sure if there has been a thread about this before.

So, as you know, all the generations of Pokémon games have 2 beggining games, that are a lot different from the previous generation, like for example Ruby and Saphire.
Then, after a 2-year period they release a new game that although similar to the previous two has some differences, like for example Emerald.

My question is, which generation do you think had the most and the least changes between the first two games and the third one, regarding the graphic improvements, new features, differences on the storyline, ...

hmm I would say from most changes to least it would be
Crystal - Some people would be thinking WTF but Silver included A Female! Thats one of the biggest changes they've made
Emerald - changed most with all three legendaries involved
Platinum - Giritania was good and the distortion world
Yellow - they ley pikachu follow you and changed abit of the story.........

The third version in the 2nd gen is Crystal. =]

Well, I only played two of them, Emerald and Platinum, so I can't really know out all of them. But, my answer would be Yellow, from what I see.

yea crystal probably was the least changed. but it was still a great game. too bad i lost it.

The biggest graphics improvement would have to be Yellow, when played in the GBC. Biggest story change? I'm not sure, they all changed a bit. I haven't played Crystal, but I think it might have been it. Although Emerald would have the best story improvement, since the story actually made sense then.
