Xander leaned against the wall, listening to his MP3 player. He hummed long to the tune, until the song suddenly turned into static. He tapped it without even opening his eyes, but it still didn't work. He opened them, angry that it was not working, and realized he wasn't leaning on his bedroom wall anymore. The world around him was strange and dark, and far up ahead, a city-like place loomed. He noticed his MP3 player was not it's normal self either. It looked like a deep amethyst crystal. A screen was embedded in its front, as well as a few black buttons. He was surprised, but became even more so when from out of nowhere, a strange child dressed in a purple costume, red gloves and bootss, and a bandana, walked from behind the wall. He took a glance at it, then tensed up, ready to fight if neccessary. The little child began laughing, and in a strange voice said, "So, you finally made it here."
"Where is here?" Xander asked, still tense. "This," the kid said, motioning to the world around him, "is the digital world. Home to digimon. I am Impmon, your personal digimon from now on."
Xander was shocked. "So, you're here to help me get out of here, or what?"
"No, You were sent here to, well, save us all or something. You and those others."
"Others?" Xander inquired.
"Yeah. And by the way, that thing on your waist is your digivice. It'll help you out later."
Xander was still shocked at this, but he was surprisingly not afraid of this little guy.
