Simple question means simple answer. Do you think she should've won at least one of the Grand Festivals before she left the show?

Me? I think that she should've won the Kanto Grand Festival honestly and not lose to Female-son. Though that's just my insignificant opinion on the matter. You?

Yes. What do you mean Kanto Grand Festival though?

Well, if the point was that she had to get her own style and travel by herself, I think she should at least win the Johto Grand Festival. Otherwise I find her losing the Kanto Grand Festival for that reason pointless o.o If Dawn also leaves not winning a Grand Festival, that'll just be annoying. I mean, winning one Grand Festival can't be the end of becoming a top coordinator, can it? Like winning one league doesn't make you instantly a Pokemon master?

That... is a tough one! I think she should of at least won the kanto grand festival though, it makes more sence on how she wanted to leave if she lost because she wants to win the johto grand festival! I wonder if we will ever find out? Maybe went ash goes back home she might meet him again :D

I think she should of won one, yes. =3 All that hard work she puts into contests much be tiring... Hopefully, if they bring her back, they should make her win one. =)

If it could have prevented the crying fit she had after losing, yes, she definitely should have won the Kanto Grand Festival.

I'm sorry for sounding cold, but there is a time and a place to cry. The only time it should be acceptable for someone to cry, male or female, is if they either did worse than before, or it was their first loss ever. The KGF was neither, so May's crying was pointless, and ultimately made her the same as all those characters in the Super Mario Kart series (IE, Sore Loser). I mean, Ash never cried when he lost the Johto League, and that was under very similar circumstances to May's loss in the KGF, so why should May even bother crying.

^ Really bro? Losing sucks. I'm an athlete and I've cried when I've lost games before. It hurts when you work so hard for something and don't succeed. Especially if you feel you could've, or should've, won. I don't blame the writers for having May cry. It's realistic and I would say very justifiable.

But as for thinking she should've won, I don't really know. It would have been nice, but it was reasonable for her to lose to someone who was much more experienced.

It's Exactly What It Says On The Tin. The Grand Festival that occured in Kanto.

Stop trying. He's probably never had something like that happen to him anyway so he probably doesn't know how it feels. I'd imagine he'd react like Dee Dee Jernigan though.

What a generalisation. Ash didn't cry because that's how he dealt with it. He got angry, he got moody, which was probably no better than crying it out, it doesn't mean he didn't feel the same gut wrenching sadness. People deal with things differently; May wasn't my favourite character, but she did work hard and didn't do much complaining along the way and to lose when you are SO close to reaching your dream isn't worth crying over?

She didn't blame anyone else, she didn't yell or act like a brat, she just had a break down and let her emotions get to her, which is generally what people do when you are overwhelmed. Sorry, but that was a pretty lame comparison and an even lamer reason for her to win.

i think may should win the jgf. it took ash awhile before he ever won a league and that was the orange isl. so may should def. win johto. as for the q. no she shouldn't. and she didnt. end of story
