Do you use the nickname feature?

Well, just what the title says, I was curious if you use the Nickname feature in the Pokémon games, since I know a lot of people that just like giving them their original names.

For me, I like giving them all unique names, I usually name them random stuff like 'Heiji' for Zubat and 'Frivi' for my Smoochum.

Yes, I do use it every now and then. I'm usually too lazy to come up with a nickname though. <.< I wish I knew some Japanese so I could stick in random Japanese words in the nicknames.

I do it, but rarely, but sometimes I mess up and accidentally do it.

I use it sometimes. I use it on the Pokemon I plan to use in my final party. I usually pick a theme for names and stick to it. ^^ I like giving them names, it's quite amusing.

If they're just Pokemon to fill the Pokedex, I usually don't bother. I'm not that creative. XD

Yes, I do! ^^ But only for the pokemon I use in my party ^^ I mean, I can't imagine not doing it just like I can't imagine calling my cat "cat" or my dog "dog" o.O;

I do see an adavantage to nicknaming pokemon. You can make your opponent think you're going to send out a weak poke, but then you send a poweful one instead. KAPOW!

I also like to give my Pokemon nicknames based on what animal or element they come from. I also come up with some silly or cute sounding names. But could never come up with names for all of them.

Future game(the penguin starter for diomend):i will use zuwica(girl) or zurico(boy).

Useless! it is fun and it personalise your favorite pokemon.
note: i'm not the person who nicknames every pokemon i catch(like my sister.) i nickname the pokemon who i've been with so long. it is to show i love them(Waberwat2! NEVER leave me!) (waberwat2 used to be named waberwat. i added the 2 as a rewerd when reaching to lv.100)

I hate naming Pokémon...I hate that R/B/Y have Mr.Mime and Farfetch'd are nicknamed...

But, like Ichapokemr, it's fun to nickname with another Pokémon names for confusing your opponent...xD

Not really. I personally think the names the Pokemon already have are better than the nicknames I think of giving them.
