Does Hypnosis Work on Dark Types?

I'm rebuilding and training my brother's soul silver team, and it includes a Poliwrath. I just wanted to be sure hypnosis works on dark types so he can use focus punch on Karen. Does hypnosis work on dark types even though it's a psychic attack

yes it does. it works on everything that dosen't have that sleep resistance ability

Yes, it does, the same way Roar affects Ghost-types.
