3rd Gen Does playing with randomizer increase the chance of catching a shiny pokemon?

So after years without playing pokemon I found this randomizer thing and I'm now replaying all of my first played pokemon games with it just because it's pretty fun and different for a change, I already went through pokemon yellow, blue and crystal and now I'm currently playing Fire Red,

I just found and caught a shiny Abra Lv.10 Modest Nature with a Pokeball (first try) in route 24.

It's my first shiny and I was pretty happy but if almost seems to good to be true so I wanted to know if it was legit luck or if the randomizer makes finding shiny pokemon easier

When I selected the options in the randomizer there was nothing mentioning shiny pokemon, I just selected random starters / random wild pokemon / random trainer pokemon and left the rest unchanged

Thanks in advance for anyone that replies :)

note* in pokemon yellow/blue/crystal I didn't catch or encounter any shiny pokemon

I think it depends on the randomizer you are using, i've watched some youtube videos by where you can actually modify the chance of shiny encounters by percentages. however some you cannot and it stays the same.

I've used that one loads before and never found a shiny on a randomizer or even a shiny modification setting, so I'm pretty sure that's a truely legit shiny. ;)
