He spotted the outline of a dragon in the water, choosing to ignore it. His eyes landed on a small group of deer, targeting them as his next meal. He circled lazily, his wings folding in tight against him as he dropped like a rock. His talons raked forward, wings flaring outward to slow his fall. He hit them hard, taking down three of them as the others bounded away. The male sat down, sniffing the air. He picked up one of the deer, tossing it into the air in one fluid motion. He snapped his jaws shut as it fell, catching it easily. He ate similar to a croc, swallowing it whole. The next he ate the same way, licking his fangs clean. He laid down, holding the third between his front claws. This one he took his time with, pulling off meat a little at a time, savoring his catch.
