This thread is so titled because I am Drag0nl0ver on Deviantart.

If you think my art sucks and say so on the poll, I'm fine with that, but please don't just hate on me without at least telling me why. Tell me why you dislike it so much so that I can improve

Anyways, I am 15 years old and I love to draw. I'm not too good right now and I don't get many comments on deviant art despite my 40 something watchers and was hoping the people here would be a little more critical (in a good, helpful way) to help me improve :)

I'll start with some of my earlier works just to show how I have progressed form then.

very creative, what program did you use?

If you want to make more realistic shadows and highlights, try downloading a program called gimp. It's free and also allows you to use dodge (for highlights) and burn (for shadows).

    Thanks. I use Corel painter.

I think that you missed it, but I did say that I used GIMP. I like Corel a lot more though. I find it easier to use.

Photoshop would be ideal if it didn't cost so much. All I can say is try blending some of those harsh lines a bit with a small brush tool instead of a line tool. Other than that keep up the good work. (dont forget its all in the shading, shadows and highlights)

I got coral painter and photoshop elements with my tablet. My only tablet arts are the quilava, my favorite pokemon and the Typhlosion with green fire. I didn't really try shading on that one. I just put some scribbles so it had some amount of depth. I used Corel for all of those, so I did use the burn tool and I forget what the other is.
