To be the best, that is my goal--
    Nay, my destiny.
    To follow in the foot-steps
Of the ones whispered all around.
Will they say my name with awe,
When I defeat the Elite Four as well?
Will they know me just by my face,
And the name that it embraces?

What if I am defeated, what then
    Will they say?
Will I be the shame of Pallet Town,
    Much to my mother's dismay?
No, I refute it--I cannot lose!
Not today, nor tomorrow, or ever.

I will be the very best,
    One way or another.
I'll train my hardest, and push the limits
And win every battle I invoke.
    From Celadon to Cinnabar Islands,
    I will be known!

    But for now, I am just beginning;
In my journey I have far to go.
But that is the way we all begin,
And that is the way I will go.

So, this is my first Pokemon-themed poem. I wanted to do one about finding my very first Ralts, but I couldn't quite word it right.

    Feedbacks?

I like the feeling of "beginnings" you've got there, kind of the thoughts of an amateur trainer. And the fact it's poem-ising the original theme tune at parts. xP

My one problem is this line:-

Of the ones whispered all around.

I get that it's meaning the famous Champions of the past (or something to that effect at least) that people still talk about, but "whispered" doesn't seem the right word to me. Maybe "Of the ones well renowned" would fit better?

However, it's just a suggestion, it's your poem after all and it's still great as it is.

I want to be the very best, like no one ever was... ♫

Very interesting job! I love to imagine being an actual Pokémon trainer soon before his journey.
