    Are these 2 useful for online play? I'm considering having one or the other on my team.
     
    Dusknoir, definatly. He is OU, in fact. Manectric as well, but he is UU cause others do what he does, but better.

    believe it or not, but it can be very effective. i don't like ice fang at all, but it needs it if it wants to take on salamence/garchomp/dragonite.

    you can also try choice specs.

    -Thunderbolt
    -Flamethrower
    -Hidden Power Ice/Water/Fighting/Ground (whatever floats your ferry)
    -Overheat

    there really needs to be an electric equivalent of overheat for this thing to take off.
     
    It can learn Overheat? Impressive. I didn't notice that. Hidden Power is an amazing move, since it gives sweepers better type coverage.

    Overheat??? whoa, I never noticed.

    HP Ice is better since I believe Dragonite has a high Defense stat.
     
    actually, dragonite's sp defense is 5 base power higher than its defense (100 SP DEF, 95 DEF).

    but that's besides the point. yeah, HP Ice is TONS better but the issue is that it takes more effort to get it.
     
    Yea, HP gets really annoying sometimes.

    Ice Fang still won't do too much due to a 75 attack stat and a 65 Base power, 90 accuracy. :/
     
    it could with good prediction. blissey has 75 base sp atk, usually has NO sp atk evs, and manages to 2HKO dragons with ice beam. ice beam may have a much higher BP, but in this case, Manectric has 100 atk evs + Life Orb.
