Hi all, I was wondering if dusknoir would be suitable as a wall? its defences are huge, but its HP is abysmal. would maxing out its defences make it a worthwhile wall? Or if you have other suggestions please leave them :)

    Dusknoir@Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP / 172 Defense / 80 Special Defense
    - Will-o-Wisp
    - Pain Split
    - Shadowsneak / Shadowpunch / Icepunch / Thunderpunch
    - Shadowsneak / Shadowpunch / Icepunch / Thunderpunch

I like this Dusknoir since it takes advantage of its low HP with Pain Split. Most pokemon do have higher HP stats, but with Pain Split, it can take away a lot of it, especially when the opponent attacks it a lot. Dusknoir was stuck with an "Okay" Ability. Though it can be helpful to destroy SpecsMence - though not the best counter. Will-o-Wisp halves the opponent's attack stat - turning it into a scary Physical Wall. Shadowsneak gives it an advantage to destroy speed passing teams. Shadowsneak strikes before Ninjask's Substitute and destroys it. The others - you should pretty much understand.

Now why would it need more Def EV's if it's gotten Will-o-Wisp? You're raising it's Defense too high. Careful nature is pretty good on Dusknoir

    Dusknoir@Leftovers
    EV : 252 HP / 102 DEF / 156 SDF
    Nature : Careful/Adamant
    Trait : Pressure
    Moves :
    - Pain Split
    - Will-o-Wisp
    - Shadow Sneak/Brick Break
    - Earthquake/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch

Blah, I stopped using this fellow after it's Will-o-Wisp started to miss consecutively

I have one Careful and one Impish, and I love rocking substitute on them...

both of them have worked very well, it just depends on what team I feel like using, and which one I'm in the mood to use.

I love stallling with them because Pressure really messes with your opponent's pokemon... I once outstalled a Blissey and had it struggle to death.... felt very... nice to do so.
