here's an easy way to level up pokemon

you take your pokemon that you want to level up to the daycare center get an acro bike and then go find a mud slide(the thing you can only go up with a mach bike)

thenface it and press forward, its better to find something to put on the up button and have it hold it there.then leave it on over night(best it have a GBSP)then in the morning if its a low levl (depending if its legendary pokemon or not)it should have grown a least 45-50 levels.

if you have any ?'s just email me i'd be happy to answer them

Don't double post. Use the edit button next time.

And I find it much easier to just use codes and spend about 5 minutes pressing "A" to give Rare Candies.

Heh, for those of us who don't like to cheat, you can still get a large amount of rare candy. Have the Pokemon you want to level, and 5 Zigzagoon in your party. Fight about 3 or 4 battles, and then take any items the Zigs are holding. Repeat until you have enough Rare Candy.

If you don't want to take advantage of such a cheap method, I've found a few good areas for levelling. Sky Pillar is obviously the first place, having the highest level wild Pokemon (L48-53) in the game.

A good place to earn cash and levelling is the Elite Four, but if you're not high enough level to take on the Elite Four, Route 117 has 5 Trainers' Eyes which will rematch you with some mid level Pokemon (L31-37), earning you some cash, and almost as much XP per Pokemon as the Sky Pillar (since trainer battles double the amount of XP you earn). Throw in the Amulet Coin, and you can earn enough cash to buy Vitamins to max out your stats in the mean time. (EV training should always be done first anyway, although Vitamins do help the process speed up).

5 Zigzagoons is not a cheap method, but the ONLY method. How else can you score perfect EVs without using rare candy?

Bait and switch. Remember that even if you switch out a pokemon, each one who participates in a battle gets full EV for whatever you face. It might take a while, but if you want to save your Rare Candy, it's an alternative.

Just start off with the Pokemon you want to EV train, switch to something that doesn't matter or has EV maxed, and let that take out your opponent. Voila, your Pokemon gains Exp and EV without having to battle.

but it takes a lot less time to just blast away at lvl 100, in comparison to the lengthy animation of switching in and out. In the long run it saves more time to just continuously hit the A button to use rare candy for 5 minutes ;p

True, but if you don't have the patience to get loads of rare candies, there are plenty of alternative methods. I was just offering them.

I just have a small question... I might be stupid but where is sky pillar located?... I have no idea and It would help me a lot if i could get there and train...

Darkling, go to Pacificlog, and Surf to east. Then, you should see an opening between Rocks in Route 131(only after you beat the E4). enter the cave. You're there. You can find Rayquaza in the top, but for that youll need Mach Bike. Read the FAQ

daycare learns move in this fashion... they learn moves in the same way the wild Pokemon picks up new moves

First they try to fill up the 4 slots of course. Then they start deleting moves from top to bottom. They'll delete the first move for the new move, then 2nd move in the list for the 2nd new move, then 3rd and so on. However, I'm not sure if daycare will restart "the count" and starts erasing from slot 1 again or not if you withdraw it then put it back later.

Heart scale can be used, but heart scale cannot bring back deleted egg moves or carried-over TMs. Keep that in mind.

Meh... daycare is terrible for training to begin with anyway. It's even slower than rare candy, and its cost is always in the billions (which could be spent on other important things like vitamins).
