Hello there!
In a rom hack I'm making, I want the player to receive a specific item before facing Articuno. In order to accomplish this, I decided to shrink the landmass around Articuno to 7x3 instead of 8x3 (so that there'd only be a one block wide stairway) and put a Pokeball containing the item above the stairs (so that the stairway is blocked by the item requiring the player to pick it up to progress).
Upon playtesting however I was surprised to see that the old layout was back, and while the Pokeball was there it gave an Ultra Ball despite the item I wanted and the script being correct. In addition Advance Map is showing the correct version, however this is only for the room before the strength boulders block the flowing water.
In brief then, I'm curious on how to edit this specific 'end state' of the room.
