4th Gen Egg Rules?

    I dont know if anyone else started a thread on this, but does anyone know the rules for bringing eggs into HG/SS that are not in the johto dex?

    For example, i love torchic, and if i make a torchic egg on my diamond, and trade it to my SS (when it comes out in english, cant wait!!!). Will the game freeze or something when it hatches, since it isnt on the johto dex.

    I dont think anyones else had brought this up, so i thought i should. If anyone knows the answer, please share! :D
     
    I think it will be the same with Platinum as I have traded tons of non regional dex pokemon and all its done is not listed them in the dex and giving them a ??? as their dex number.

    aww that sucks :( i know how hard it is to wait, but i know this game is going to be really awesome :D
     
    Yea it is. And I'm already coming up with a good challenge for it lol. It will be much like the Platinum only one I've got set up but much harder =)
     
    That was a good question, because I'm thinking of trading a Smoochum egg and a Shuppet egg. I wonder if anyone else will be trading eggs over to HGSS from Diamond, Pearl or Platinum.
     
    Once you obtain the PokéDex and capture a second Pokémon you will be able to trade with DPPt even before the first Gym Leader. This includes Nation Dex Pokémon from other generations as well as eggs.
