    Competitive:

    Alakazam @ Leftovers
    EV's: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest / Timid Nature
    - Psychic
    - Thunderpunch / Recover
    - Ice Punch / Recover
    - Fire Punch

    - Ice Punch / Recover
    - Light Screen

You nearly had a perfect Alakazam but this is my view on an elemental Alakazam. Never give it all the punches two is sufficient. As for recover the leftovers it is carrying should be enough to help it regain its Hp gradually through battle so use Light screen instead so that it at least has some extra defense when it comes to battling 'crunch' users. Its Light Screen will protect it enough so that Thunder Punch has time to inflict major damage.

Alakazam can't take a hit, Light Screen will be quite useless on him.

    - Psychic
    - Thunderpunch
    - Ice Punch
    - Fire Punch

Electric+Ice Combo covers pretty much everything not named Magneton nor Lanturn.
Fire Punch Magneton to oblivion and Psychic on Lanturn.

Lanturn is Electric and water. Please get your facts straight.
As for Alakazam, it can take a Special Attack relatively well, but if a physical attack gets used, it's gone.

I believe what he is saying is that since Lanturn has not weakness to any of Zam's moves, that a STAB Psychic will do the most damage. Which it will.

Just use Calm Mind and call it a day.

    <_<
In this case I don't see why you would need calm mind.
But yes, please choose something and call it a day.

After a Calm Mind, Psychic 1-2HKOs any non-dark/steel/psychic pokemon not named Blissey, Snorlax, or Regice, and Even then one of the elemental punches takes care of whatever resists it.

I forgot that HP Water also deserves mention, taking on Houndooms and Ttar on the switch. There's a use for HP grass outside of tyranitar, but I forgot what it was.

    Alakazam (M) @ Lum Berry
    Trait: Synchronize
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Calm Mind
    - Fire Punch
    - Psychic
    - Thunderpunch

    Standard.
Calm Mind on the switch outs for the boost.
Timid allows it to outspeed Duggy, or at least tie...
Fire Punch for Metagross and Magneton, Thunder Punch for Waters, and Psychic for the STAB
It's too frial for Lefties and cant stand a status condition so Lum Berry

Just use Calm Mind / Psychic / Thunderpunch / Recover.

Thunderpunch hits the annoying Dark types that you can't kill with Psychic. You can use another punch over Recover also, but healing is nice.

No, Zam is too frail to waste a slot with Recover, unless you only play in-game. Even that is iffy. Mullet's set is the one that wins the thread.

    BTW - welcome back, rebel.

Uh, Stantlerguy, it is still iffy.
Alas, Lugialord, Mullet has a point, so if you don't want your Zam to die, then choose his.
Regardless of what you choose, ust keep in mind that Recover is a waste.

I presented a In-Game moveset, because if the person wanted a competitve set, he would use Mullet's. Mullet's is the best competitve, where as mine is the best In-Game. Maybe if you actually read my post you would have understood that.

    Yay I win. ^_^

Thanks. You should get on NB sometime soon so we can battle. You'd probably win as I don't predict anymore unless I play good players, because noobs don't use standard ****. I'm also rusty at prediction because I haven't played seriously constantly in a while.

Even in-game Recover fails. Especially if you are battling a halfway competant person.
