5th Gen Elite 4

When I arrive at the Pokemon League I always get excited, it's the biggest honour in Pokemon games, to defeat the Elite 4 and Champion to become a Pokemon Master.

In past games I've felt theirs always been a good mix in regards to typing, the levels varied greatly, and from memory I'm pretty sure they always had 6 pokemon you had to defeat.

I was pretty disappointed when I started battling the Elite 4 this year, as I battled each of them separately I noticed that each of them had 4 pokemon, three of which were Level 48, one of which was Level 50.

First of all I was disappointed by the rigidness of it, and second, only four pokemon? I want to battle six!

I wasn't too thrilled with the typings either, Dark, Psychic and Ghost, to me seem very similar, they should have had a maximum of two of the types but this wasn't as much of an issue to me.

So I ask you were you happy with the typings when you battled through?

How did you feel about facing four Pokemon instead of the traditional six per trainer?

How do you feel about how this ranked in regards to difficulty among the other series?

And finally, how did you feel about the new layout?

Do you prefer choosing who to battle in what order or did you prefer when you had to go through and battle them one by one in a specific order?
