Hello,
I'm getting started with Binary hacking, and I've started with making some "smaller" changes to learn my way around the various tools. So far, I'm getting comfortable with editing Pokemon w/ G3HS, changing some scripts in XSE, working with Advance Map, etc.
One thing I've been curious about, and unable to find any information on, is how one would go about changing the Region Name that's displayed in the national pokedex. On the PokeDex screen, I'd like to eventually change the region name from "Hoenn" to another region. I put a red box around the text I'm looking to change, just to be clear:
![[PokeCommunity.com] Emerald: Change Region Name in PokeDex? [PokeCommunity.com] Emerald: Change Region Name in PokeDex?](https://data.pokecommunity.com/attachments/16/16937-598a52e23172317fcc5e4328c3d88474.jpg)
What sort of change would this be? Is it Hex based, or is it part of a background and would be handled through tilesets, etc? Any documentation or tutorials out there that could help me out? Seems like a "small" change that would be well documented, but I couldn't seem to bring anything up in my searches.
Thanks!
