So its a well known issue on reflections in Emerald but its one I am having trouble with. I spent an entire day trying to figure this but to no avail. In the game there are problems if you walk on the east or west bank of a pond where your reflection is appears in the grass since GF can't code for shit not that I am any better off. Anyway the issue is the only solution I heard is to make the bottom layer blank but this cannot work for me since the map I made is similar to the FRLG in Viridian city where there is a ledge hope down tiles at the very bottom of the pond on the western bank which is harder to do this trick on and is not working. I am actually jealous on how FRLG seems to have a thing called terrain type you can tick off in porymap but not in Emerald. I assume since GF saw how stupid they were in RS and that they could not be hacks on the Viridian pond like they were in RS but Emerald still has the same problem. Regardless, if anyone has reflection information and how to deal with this fucking stupid system I am all ears.

Never mind as I solved it by accident after working on it all day and it might be a fix for this in general in emerald. The tiles for ponds are made up one "pure" blue tile that is the middle of the pond and then border/bank tiles. If you edit the map you know what I mean. I set all the border/bank tiles to MB_Normal thinking it would disable reflections and I would solve the issue later. It ended up actually solving the issue. I assume this is since to quote someone else on Pret when I was looking for answers. That the tiles with the reflect thing start calculating reflection early. However its too early so the border tiles were overkill and you only needed that "pure" tile.
