Emerald Speed Deoxys w/ Macho Brace

with it's super speed, the brace won't do much harm right?
and with the extra EV's , it's a winning machine right? (provided you have deoxys in emerald)

Actually, the greater your speed the greater the harm of Macho Brace is (since it always halves the Speed), and a Speed Deoxys without speed is worthless. Actually, Speed Deoxys is a pitiful pokémon overall since it has no worthwhile stats with which to take advantage of the awesome speed. Anyway, EVs are limited to 510 per pokémon, so Macho Brace is only good when EV training (and it only affects the amount of EVs you get from the battle, it doesn't double the ones you already have). End of discussion.

Yea, it halves your speed, which makes it worthless. And it only gives you double EVs from the Battle, not double the EVs you have. So yea, you've just given yourself a worthless Pokemon. >_>

It's not really worthless, as long as it's strictly used for EV training. Competitively, it's a dumb move.
